The pursuit of flexibility and bounce

Following an extensive nine-year research program, Spring Sponge X was developed to generate more power. Its response was increased by 14 %, with impact resilience enhanced by 3 % compared to the current Spring Sponge. The result is a big difference in the level of power produced. Spring Sponge X is the key to bringing high performance to Dignics.

Spring Sponge technology increases flexibility of the sponge. Like a coil spring, the Spring Sponge absorbs the incoming energy of the ball and releases it as additional power for the player’s own shot. Rubbers with Spring Sponge technology enable shots with high amounts of spin.

High resistance to abrasion

High Tension technology augments the reaction and spin potential of rubbers by increasing tension inside the sponge and rubber surface.

The more you hit the ball with the rubber, the more its surface gets worn down. The surface condition when the ball is continuously hit in the same area the same number of times can be seen in the following pictures*. The pictures show that although the surface of the current rubber is very worn, the surface of Dignics 05, 64, 80 and Glayzer is much more intact, proving its resilience to abrasion on the sheet’s surface.

Bryce Highspeed is a rubber that enables a high speed and spin performance. It has been developed thanks to Micro Layer, developed by Butterfly. The base of the top sheet is very thin, visible to the naked eye. The rubber compresses and the surface is depressed by the ball on impact; thus enabling a high degree of rotation to be imparted on the ball.

Dignics 80 offers balanced playing characteristics situated between Dignics 05 and 64.
