Advancing Butler From the desk of Tom Borrego Executive Director
October 2019—VOL 7— Issue Five
Luxury car maker Volvo and Butler are now partners to offer one of the first collegiate Volvo Training programs in the country. Faculty will be trained in the latest Volvo technologies and auto technology students are set to have hands-on access to training for the premiere technology in Volvo cars. Tools and resources will be provided by Eddy’s Volvo Cars of Wichita. Volvo’s Car University Program was designed to embed Volvo system technology into top accredited auto technology programs in the country. The access to the Volvo curriculum and technology enhances the program by broadening student knowledge of luxury cars, typically only accessible through private training facilities. Butler’s academic program is also certified by the National Automotive Technician Education Foundation (NATEF).
