HUBBARD AWARD PRESENTED TO BURNS, KANSAS NATIVE Janet Busenitz, pictured right, is the 2021 Hubbard Award of Excellence recipient! Janet will continue to study Nursing at the University of Kansas in the fall. Janet graduated with a 4.0 GPA, volunteers and works with children, and maintained her academics. Janet beat nearly 60 other applicants for the award, which was presented at spring commencement on May 14. The Hubbard Award of Excellence is Butler's most prestigious award and comes with $15,000 toward tuition at the winner's transfer university. Our partnership with the R.D. and Joan Dale Hubbard Foundation makes this life-changing award possible.
