Advancing Butler From the desk of Stacy Cofer Vice President of Advancement
June 2018—VOL 6— Issue Three
Kaylee Farmer is the Hubbard Award of Excellence winner. “I pursued a lot of options to see which college would allow me the most opportunity for personal growth and education success,” Kaylee said in her application essay for the award. “In the end, there was no question that Butler was the perfect combination of what I had been searching for.” Kaylee graduated with an associate degree in agriculture, held Order of the Purple academic honors, was a member of the national champion Livestock Judging team, served as Agriculture Ambassadors’ president, participated in Phi Theta Kappa, and worked as an intern at BioZyme Incorporated. The $15,000 Hubbard Award of Excellence transfer scholarship will assist Kaylee in her continued studies at Kansas State University in the fall where she plans to major in animal science with the ultimate goal of attending law school, where she will specialize in agricultural law to improve and preserve the industry for future generations. Congratulations, Kaylee! We are proud to call you a Butler graduate.
