Advancing Butler From the desk of Stacy Cofer Vice President of Advancement

December 2018—VOL 6— Issue Six

Our hospitality and culinary arts programs worked hard to bring cheer to firefighters on duty during Thanksgiving. The Goebel Family Star Lumber Foundation donated funds needed to purchase the ingredients and students, alumni, and faculty volunteered to prepare a feast for our first responders. Staff and administrators delivered the food to 24 fire stations in Butler County and Wichita. We are thankful for our exceptional program that provides hundreds of hours of community service annually.

Welcome to the nursing program, Dr. Beth Eagleton! Former Wesley Associate Chief Nursing Officer Beth Eagleton, Ph.D., is our new associate dean of Nursing and Allied Health. With an extensive background in hospital administration, clinical education, and strategic planning/ development, Eagleton is an excellent addition to the nursing program that is already known for its prestige in the medical community. Eagleton said she is “looking forward to working...to ensure optimal student learning outcomes and engagement inside the classrooms and in the communities we serve.”
