Other Campus Involvement and Personal Accomplishments
Math Tutoring Club Vice President of Resources, Illinois State University (Nov 2021 – Present) - As Vice President of Resources, I am responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing the club’s electronic resources (which currently consist of the club Google Drive and all documents contained therein). Additionally, I collect club statistics like attendance and survey ratings to compile for a monthly newsletter for teachers. I also continue to act as a tutor for students in the MAT 120 (Finite Mathematics) class, offering aid for any problems they have issues with and helping them master the underlying concepts of the class.
Career goals
My career goal is to gain my Associateship with the Society of Actuaries within 4 years of graduation. This will be accomplished by timely completion of all requirements, which include exams, modules, and VEEs (Validations by Educational Experience, which the ISU Actuarial Science major curriculum is designed to fulfill). I also aim to get a job as an actuary in a life insurance company in the Chicagoland area, as this kind of job would best fit my current career path and is in a location I am familiar with.
