Danbury fire on Main Street

Danbury Fire & Rescue received a call for a structure fire at the on Main Street in Danbury June 10 at approximately 4:30 p.m. The building is home to Amelia’s Care and Bakery and Cabin Corner Gifts. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the building sustained substantial damage. There were no reported injuries. Webster and Siren Fire Departments assisted with the fire, along with the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office and North Ambulance. The fire is still under investigation.

Methamphetamine forum to be held in Grantsburg The issue of methamphetamine is a major concern for many citizens in Burnett County. A forum will be held in Grantsburg later this month to hear from officials on what can be done to help with what some grouped into the nationwide epidemic. The forum will be held June 20 at 5:30 in the Grantsburg Public Li-

Spooner man arrested for suspected posession of child pornography SPOONER––The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force today announced that Jeffrey A. Vesta, a pastor and former teacher in Wisconsin and Oregon, was arrested at his residence in Spooner, Wis. on June 4, 2019 for suspected possession of child pornography. a search warrant on Mr. Vesta’s residence and took him into custody. Mr. Vesta was booked in the Washburn County Jail on June 4 and attended a bail hearing on June 5 in Washburn County. Mr. Vesta was released on a signature bond. An initial appearance will be held June 17, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Washburn County Courthouse. As in any criminal proceeding, Mr.
