HO HO HO:
Bolo Nguyen and fouryear-old Jade stopped into Metropolis at Metrotown on Sunday, Nov. 20 to get a photo with Santa. Saint Nick arrived at the mall last week and will be staying until Christmas Eve. There’s a minimum $2 donation to get a picture with the Jolly Old Elf. All proceeds will be donated to the Burnaby Christmas Bureau, which ensures low-income families, seniors and those at risk of homelessness have a gift to open on Christmas morning. Last year, the mall raised more than $51,000. Staff hope to surpass that this season and raise $55,000. See story on page 11.

ings to higher density. And after making their argument, Mayor Derek Corrigan offered to meet with members of the group personally to discuss the issue and some of the measures the city is undertaking. But he was also critical of ACORN and some of Continued on page 8
