™

It is my pleasure once again to welcome you to the 20th Annual Sugarloaf Charity Summit, one of the most inspiring and meaningful traditions for our resort and community. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Sugarloaf community, the Charity Summit has raised more than $3 million in the battle against cancer in Maine. This money has supported the incredible work of the Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center, Maine Cancer Foundation, and the Dempsey Center.

Thank you for supporting

Those who are fighting or have fought cancer know that it can be an inexhaustible opponent. Thankfully, the generosity of the Sugarloaf community has proven equally limitless. Despite the various challenges facing individuals and businesses each year, the spirit and generosity of Sugarloaf community has never wavered.

This event offers an opportunity for us to remember those loved ones we have lost, support those in the midst of treatment, and pledge hope for the future. We are grateful for those of you have been a part of this event since the beginning and to all of you who have joined us along the way. Thank you for your continued support.

For us, it’s personal. Cancer touches us all, and that is as true for the Sugarloaf family as any other. Too many of our employees, family members, and friends have fought this terrible disease, which is why we continue our work with the Charity Summit. Thanks to your efforts over the past 20 years we have raised over $3 million to support the amazing work of the Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center, Dempsey Center, and Maine Cancer Foundation. And we’re nowhere near done. Our community is unlike any other in spirit and generosity, and together we are making a difference in the fight against cancer.

From all of us at Sugarloaf, thank you. Patti Cross Sugarloaf Perfect Turn Cancer Survivor Presented by Seth Wescott / Photography by Kate Ray 5

KARYN CHISHOLM // TOPSHAM, ME

THERE’S NEVER BEEN A MOUNTAIN SHE COULDN’T CONQUER. THAT INCLUDES CANCER. Karyn Chisholm is a lifelong Mainer, and her lifestyle shows it. Hiking, skiing, swimming, fly fishing — she has done it all fearlessly. When faced with two separate battles with breast cancer, Karyn tackled them as she would any other obstacle in her life — with fearlessness. Through the MaineHealth Cancer Care Network, Karyn found coordinated care and support from her patient navigator and care team to bring her to where she is today. Cancer free. We are community

Thank you Sugarloaf Snowmakers

Community is at the core of Franklin Savings Bank. Each year, our employees donate thousands of hours to local community efforts, from serving as treasurer on a local nonprofit board to serving up popcorn or handing out balloons at an comunity event. Meanwhile, the Franklin Savings Bank Community Development Foundation helps with financial support. It has contributed nearly $3 million to local economic development, educational and charitable projects since it was created in 2001. What does that mean to you? A stronger local economy and hope for a brighter future.
