Decant on Wakefield to open Winemaker’s Lounge In February 2018, The Leader profiled Decant Urban Winery at 948 Wakefield Dr., which intends to import grapes from various winegrowing regions around the world and ferment them onsite. Customers could then directly sample and buy the wine. Now Decant’s owners say they will open their Winemaker’s Lounge space Feb. 6. The lounge will be a smaller space which will hold about 15 people, while their larger space is under construction. Its flyer indicates there is anywhere from 1,500 to 4,436 square feet remaining on the first floor. Other signed first-floor tenants include Lovett Dental, Spenga boutique fitness studio, Club Pilates, Eyes on the Heights Optometry and Nails of America. The second-floor tenant is Phenix Salon Suites, which has a location on West Gray in River Oaks. Doggett Ford’s first Ford Truck Month Ford has Truck Month from Feb. 15-March 15, and this will be the first time to participate for Doggett Ford, located at 9225 North Fwy. New York-based Madison Realty Capital provided the loan to Houston-based AMD Global and Med Center Developers, which in a joint venture acquired the 191,676 square-foot medical

According to the release, the borrower used a portion of the loan to refinance previous debt and will use the remainder for renovations and improvements. Collateral for the loan also includes three nearby land parcels now used as parking for patients and hospital staff. Executives with AMD Global and Med Center Developers did not respond to requests for comment.
