Happy July! We hope that you all are enjoying the summertime and staying cool! Volunteer opportunities are slowly, but surely, starting to open up at our BVP volunteer sites. One of the more active volunteer sites that has continued to provide services throughout the pandemic has been the City’s Senior Nutrition Program. On page 3, we highlight all of the wonderful things that staff and our volunteers have done for this program in our “Featured Station” article. If you would like to help prepare and serve meals to local seniors in the Senior Nutrition Program, check out page 5 for more information on how you can get involved. Both youth and adult volunteers are welcome. BVP has been fairly busy these past two months. We had volunteers help take care of some pets and some volunteers helped craft roses for an incredible art installment at City Hall. A big shout out to all of the volunteers who participated in these events. See page 4 for some pictures of their work! As always, thank you all so much for continuing to dedicate your time to the community. A number of you continue to assist through BVP despite returning to some sort of normalcy in your everyday lives. Staff and all of the participants in our programs greatly appreciate and acknowledge your efforts! We will continue to send out emails with new opportunities and information on how you can get involved as we move into the fall season. Best, The BVP Team Marcus & Lacey
