WELCOME

WELCOME TO OUR 2026 BUNNINGS COMMUNITY REPORT

NATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY

VICTORIA QUEENSLAND

Community is in our DNA. From Cairns to Christchurch, our team members show up for the places they call home, cheering on local sport, backing local causes, and finding countless ways to give something back to the neighbourhoods where they live and work.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

NEW SOUTH WALES

This spirit plays out in thousands of ways each year: community groups firing up sausage sizzles outside our stores, volunteers rolling up their sleeves, local partnerships taking root, and national campaigns rallying support right across Australia and New Zealand. With our customers, suppliers and community partners standing alongside us, the impact travels well beyond our car parks and into the communities that need it most.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA NORTHERN TERRITORY AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY

TASMANIA NEW ZEALAND

3

This year, that impact added up to more than $72 million raised and contributed for communities across Australia and New Zealand. A huge part of that came from the more than 37,000 sausage sizzles held outside our stores throughout the year, a simple tradition that brings people together, strengthens local ties and gives community groups a genuine platform to raise funds for the causes they care about most. We were also proud to back some outstanding national charity partners. In Australia, our customers helped raise $2.55 million for FightMND and packed an incredible 109,000 bags for Share the Dignity’s It’s in the Bag campaign. Across New Zealand, we kept backing the causes that build stronger communities, from grassroots sport to mental health awareness and programs helping young people learn and thrive.

None of this happens without the community groups and organisations who pour their time, energy and heart into their local areas, and we want to say a genuine thank you for everything you do. Thanks too to our team members, customers, suppliers and partners for everything you brought to the table this year. Together, we’re building communities that are stronger, more connected and more resilient, and we can’t wait to see what we achieve next.

Promoting a Culture of Safety and Security

Backing Mental Health Across New Zealand

For the seventh consecutive year, Bunnings delivered Crime Prevention Week across sites in Australia and New Zealand, helping raise awareness of practical ways to prevent theft and fraud. The campaign encourages team, customers and communities to stay vigilant and take simple steps to keep workplaces, homes and vehicles safe and secure. Through educational resources, activities and conversations, Crime Prevention Week continues to play an important role in promoting a culture of safety and security.

For the fourth year running, Bunnings Trade in New Zealand partnered with Movember to raise awareness of mental health and suicide prevention programs available to Kiwis. Through the sale of a co-branded hoodie and a trade BBQ, our team rallied the community, with all funds going directly to Movember. Colouring Playtime with Creativity

KINGS MEADOWS, TAS

Our team supported the local daycare centre, Adventure Patch Mountain View, with a colourful refresh, helping paint the cubby house using a palette chosen by the children and educators themselves. It was a fun and collaborative project that brought plenty of energy and creativity to the day, resulting in a bright and inviting space where children can play, imagine and make new memories.

The Kings Meadows team connected with the community during Seniors Week by visiting a local aged care facility and helping bring a lively fair to life with gardening products and gardening advice. With more than 100 people in attendance, the day was filled with conversation, connection and shared moments, creating a warm and welcoming experience for residents and visitors alike.

Each year, our teams across New Zealand come together for a national fundraising BBQ in support of Motor Neurone Disease New Zealand, helping raise awareness and vital funds for those affected by motor neurone disease. Through the generosity of our customers, team members and local communities, the campaign raised more than $40,000, contributing to important support services, advocacy and research. The initiative is a powerful example of how communities can come together to make a meaningful difference for a cause that impacts many New Zealand families.

Working Together for Community Wellbeing Local Bunnings team members partnered with Otakanini Haranui Marae to support a range of community projects designed to benefit the wider community. Together, they built new garden beds, a windbreak and a community pantry to help share the crops grown on site, while also maintaining an orchard established earlier in the year. The project strengthened community connections and provided an opportunity for team members to learn more about Māori culture while supporting the Marae’s long-term wellbeing initiatives.

In New Zealand, Bunnings introduced saveBOARD 2Faced panels into 25 stores, helping turn soft plastic packaging into a practical building product. Made from 100% post-consumer soft plastic collected through the NZ Soft Plastic Recycling Scheme, saveBOARD gives materials that may otherwise go to landfill a new purpose.

WELCOME

Each board contains around 12.5 kilograms of soft plastic, showing how everyday recycling can be turned into something useful for homes, projects and communities.

Helping Gardens Flourish

QUEENSLAND SOUTH AUSTRALIA

When Kimihia Home and Hospital reached out for support with their existing garden beds, the local Bunnings team supplied fresh soil and everything needed to establish a thriving vegetable and herb garden. Together, they planted a variety of seasonal produce that is now cared for by residents living with dementia, providing a meaningful gardening activity while supplying fresh ingredients for the facility’s kitchen. Any surplus produce is shared with the local community, extending the project’s impact beyond the home.
