We looooove to travel. Yeah, seriously, that much. So much so we started Bunnik Tours. And put our name to it. To take people who love it as much as us, on the type of tours, with small groups, just enough guidance, and freedom to explore. That we’d want to go on ourselves. (And we do.)

IT’S WHO YOU GO WITH Our family’s love for travel goes way back. In fact, we’re so passionate about travel that in 1995, we started Bunnik Tours. Fast forward three decades, and we’re still doing what we love: designing intimate travel experiences that dig deep into the heart of each destination, forging the kind of memories you’ll carry with you for a lifetime. So go on, kick back and leave the planning to us. We’ll take care of all the nitty-gritty so you can focus on soaking up the magic. Every detail is thoughtfully designed to immerse you in the colour and culture of each place you visit — so you don't just see it, you feel it. This includes the types of experiences you can’t do on your own or with a large group. Because it’s not just about where you go, it’s who you go with.

“TRAVEL ISN’T JUST A BUSINESS TO US — IT’S OUR NAME, OUR PASSION AND OUR LEGACY” bunniktours.com.au | 5

Small Groups Life’s too short to spend it waiting around. That’s why our tours are limited to no more than 20 travellers (or 16 for in-style tours), so you can truly engage with your surroundings and fellow travellers. It’s been the Bunnik Tours philosophy since day dot. The result? Less time waiting, more time exploring — just the way travel should be.

More accommodation choice In small groups, you get to the good stuff faster. From getting on and off vehicles, to accommodation check-ins, comfort stops and meals — everything is easier, so we can show you more of what you came to see.

Travelling in smaller groups gives us greater flexibility when it comes to where you rest your head at night. In Egypt and Jordan, we choose our accommodation based on location, service and how much it can add to your holiday experience, including character-filled stays that are often off-limits to larger groups.

More time with your guide

More time to explore

Less waiting around

Our tour guides are know-it-alls, which is actually a good thing. Travelling in a small group means more time to learn from experienced guides who are eager to share their passion for their country. In other words, more opportunities to discover the secrets that only the locals know about.

More space on the coach

On a Bunnik tour, everyone gets a window seat. That’s right. We keep our group sizes small but our coaches spacious, so you’ll always find plenty of extra seats to stretch out in comfort.

Better views

Full coaches often mean your holiday snaps feature the back of someone’s head. When the coach isn’t full, you’ll spend less time scrambling for a better view and more time soaking up the scenery.

More great memories

The only thing we love more than travel, is doing it together. Small groups mean more meaningful connections between like-minded travellers and the people, culture and places we visit. It really is ‘who’ you go with that makes all the difference.

6

What’s the best way to truly experience Egypt and Jordan? By exploring it like a local — and there’s no better way to do that than in a small group. Whether you’re sifting through treasures at a centuries-old souk or indulging in a street snack, our itineraries place you at the heart of the destination, giving you more time to connect with local culture.

Flexibility

Small groups are more flexible, so we can change the itinerary around to suit the local conditions. Even if it’s off the beaten track, we’re always down for a detour.

Get off the tourist trail

For logistical reasons, large groups rarely stray from the typical tourist trail. With a smaller group, we can venture to lesser-travelled areas, visiting local villages and taking part in authentic cultural experiences.

Be a responsible tourist

Small groups are low-impact and don’t spoil the very place you’ve come to see. By not being limited to chain hotels and restaurants, we are able to better support the communities who are sharing their world with us.

Leave the details to us. We’ve put everything you’ve ever wanted to see and do (plus a few hidden gems) into our small group tours. No hidden extras or cheeky costs. Packages include all sightseeing, accommodation, special experiences and everything in between.

Special experiences No hidden extras

Our tours include all sightseeing, return international airfares on our classic and in-style tours and even taxes and tips where it is customary. All you need to worry about is having the time of your life.

Tipping made easy

As a family of travellers at heart, for us it’s not just about clocking up countries or as simple as leading you to a destination. Of course we’ll show you the iconic attractions, but our tours dig a little deeper, taking you off the tourist trail to discover the true essence of the places you’ve been dreaming about.

Multi-night stays

Tipping is expected in many of the countries we visit and often makes up a large portion of people’s wages, so it’s important to get it right. But you don’t need to worry about that. It’s included in the cost of your tour.

Why stay one night when you can stay two? Our itineraries include multi-night stops to give you more time to take in your surroundings. It’s all about finding the balance between squeezing every bit of fun out of your time away and remembering to hit pause, relax and just be in holiday mode.

Character accommodation

Transportation

From staying at the luxurious Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan to spending a night in a traditional Bedouin desert camp in Wadi Rum, we make sure your itinerary includes some unique and unforgettable stays along the way.

Meals

Anybody can give you a coach tour. But there’s nothing like hopping into a 4WD to weave through the sandy dunes of Wadi Rum or sailing across the Nile aboard a traditional wooden felucca. We like to mix it up when it comes to getting around, so you can experience your destination from a new perspective.

Breakfast is included daily on tour, along with group welcome and farewell dinners. We’ll also include some special culinary experiences as we explore. From savouring a farm-to-table feast in Madaba to tucking into the flavours of Cairo with the Great Pyramids as your backdrop, we know how important it is to take your taste buds on an adventure too.

bunniktours.com.au | 9

The memories that come from spontaneous exploration are something no tour group can mimic. So we don’t. Our tours are personal, immersive and blend just the right balance of guidance with the freedom to explore. The Great Pyramids, Giza, Egypt by Vicki Rothwell

We plan most of your day, but not all of it Having a guide is good and ours are the best in the business. But sometimes, you need to break free. On a Bunnik tour, you’ll have plenty of time to roam on your own. Whether it’s relaxing aboard a Nile River cruise or taking a dip in the salty Dead Sea, we give you the freedom to make every moment count.

Take a little detour If there’s something you want to see or do that’s not on the itinerary, no sweat. You can use these gaps to tick them off your bucket list. We also offer optional excursions based on special-interest activities which we know don’t always appeal to everyone, so you’ll have the freedom to take part or go your own way.

Temple of Hatshepsut, Luxor, Egypt by Dennis Bunnik

For many, Egypt isn’t just a destination, it’s a lifelong dream. And when you finally find yourself standing before the Great Pyramids or descending into a tomb in the Valley of the Kings, it’s one of those moments that stays with you forever. So it’s important that your experience is the best it can be. That starts with travelling with the experts.

Between the family, Dennis, Sacha and Marion have travelled to the region more than 50 times, so it’s safe to say you’re in good hands on a Bunnik tour. It’s this first-hand experience and deep knowledge that has allowed us to craft immersive itineraries showcasing the very best this ancient land has to offer, including a visit to the towering temples of Abu Simbel on every tour! Fitness to Travel

From roaming the famous rock formations of the Rose City to descending into Tutankhamun’s Tomb, we want you to enjoy every step of your journey, not struggle through it. Let’s work together to find the perfect tour for your fitness level. We’re passionate about creating journeys that are filled with incredible experiences you might not be able to have on your own, or in a larger group. However, that does mean aspects of our itineraries can be physically challenging on some days. Our tours are designed for independent travellers who live an active daily life. While we don’t put a specific age limit on our tours, we do impose a firm policy on the level of fitness and mobility required by all our clients to keep you safe and ensure everyone has a great experience. We request all travellers to complete our Mobility & Medical Disclosure form and reserve the right to decline the booking if the physical demands of the tour can’t be met.

Visit bunniktours.com.au/fitness for more information. Fit to Travel Checklist
