We welcome the players, coaches and families from the following teams who will actively participate in the BIG V Game experience today!
Welcome to our YL Men’s game tonight.
Last week we had a nail biter & went down by 1pt in overtime to an undefeated Blackburn.
We certainly had our chances, but Blackburn made a basket with 5 secs left in OT and we couldn’t find a score after that.
We had massive games from Lorne (Mower) with 26pts & 10 Rebs, Jake (Mawbs) 16pts & 5rebs to name a few.
Tonight, we play Collingwood who are coming off a win vs Altona.
They had good contributions from #24 Adam Arkadio 20pts, #12 Mitchell Lester 12pts & had 5 people in double figure scoring for the game.
Our team will need all 5 guys on the court to play hard/solid defence & rebound at both ends of the floor to hopefully get the win.
Thanks again to all you supporters, Club sponsors, Ryan, Glenn & the club for all your support.
Cheer loud & go Boomers!!

This week we face cross-town rivals the Sherbrooke Suns. These teams faced off in last year's semi final series and it will no doubt be a high quality game.
We’re coming off a solid win against the McKinnon Cougars (79-40). We controlled the game defensively holding the Cougars to 22% field goal percentage and 14% from three.
Sherbrooke have started off the season slow (3 wins, 4 losses) but we know they cannot be underestimated. Sherbrooke have retained All Star 5 player Alicia Carline and star wing Tenaya Phillips, whilst adding her sister Kiara Phillips from NBL1 West.
The key matchup this week will be at the centre position between Alicia Carline (19 points and 15 rebounds) and Catelyn Van Es (11 points and 8 rebounds). We will need to keep Carline off the glass whilst managing the star studded lineup of Sherbrooke.
We then travel down to Bellarine on Sunday to face the Storm.
