COACHES CORNER – PREVIEW FROM THE COACH

Welcome back to EDSC for our D1 men’s team’s fourth home game of the season. The game is another important one for us as we look to break even at 3 wins and 3 losses.

Last week the team had a great win against a competitive Collingwood team that was desperate for their first win. Joshua Uhr Henry had a return to form and led the way with 24 points and 13 rebounds while Peter Deng again showed why he is a cannot miss watching player with several spectacular dunks and blocks on his way to 24 points.
Today’s opponent is Chelsea who have come down to Division 1 from Championship and although they have currently only one win to their name they have some great players and experience and Championship division experience. They have some talent that will need to handled by the Boomers to ensure they win. They are led by centre Aaron Frost (19ppg 18rbg) and he will be looking to continue his good form and will get good support from Elijah Davy. Boomers will be looking to limit their production as much as possible.
We will be looking for Josh Uhr Henry to continue to stuff the stats sheet and for Peter Deng to make the spectacular athletic plays that can excite the crowd and turn the momentum of a game.
This game promises to be a great one as both teams will be hungry to win as Chelsea look to get their second win and stay in touch with the finals contenders and we look to continue climbing the ladder and build on improving our form.
Thanks for your support, we hope you enjoy the day and spread the word as we would love to pack out 'EDSC' throughout the season.
