BOOMERS 2023

Welcome back to EDSC for our D1 men’s teams’ third home game of the season. The game is an important one for us as we look to stay in touch with the top of the ladder after a loss to a disciplined and confident Pakenham in round three.

Last round the team never got into a consistent rhythm and despite restricting Pakenham import Joe Davis to 10 points below his average, we couldn’t overcome some poor shooting and contributions from Pakenham’s less heralded players.

Today’s opponent is Collingwood who are currently winless but have some talent that will need to be handled to ensure we win. They are led by import Jacob Daniels (18ppg) and he will be looking to continue his good form as we will be looking to limit his production as much as possible. Collingwood also boasts a good supporting cast that is still learning to play together and win their first game.

We will be looking for William Alhaddad to continue his great defensive start to the season and to continue to distribute the ball to teammates (2nd in league assists) and for our front line to control the paint defensively. We will be looking for Peter Deng to continue bringing highlights to the game with dunks and spectacular blocks.

This game promises to be a great one as both teams will be hungry to win as Collingwood look to get their first win and we look to get back on track.

Thanks for your support, we hope you enjoy the night and spread the word as we would love to pack out 'EDSC' throughout the season.
