COACHES CORNER – PREVIEW FROM THE COACH

The Youth League Women are back at EDSC for their final home game of the regular season, after two big wins on the road last weekend.

Last week, our group was able to fight through two very tough and close games and take wins over both Wyndham for second time this season, as well as squaring the ledger against the Camberwell Dragons. The two victories mean we have now secured 2nd place on the ladder with no team being able to match our 18-3 record.

It truly took a full team effort with Tahlia Leeson providing a BigV Blue Carpet worthy performance one again, whilst being well supported by Keira Lindemans, Ayuen Akot and Felicity Warrell.

With finals well and truly looming, our challenge now is becoming elite at every aspect of our game to ensure we go as deep into the finals race as possible. Today, we welcome the Sunbury Jets, who have been challenging top end teams week after week.

With a full squad for the first time since Round 12, will be looking forward to seeing the likes of Jasmine McKenzie, Danijela Kujovic and Mia Tamburrini back on court since returning from the US, and as always Alexya Charalambous and Hannah Ronan-Black leading from the front, with lots of energy coming from our full and youthful bench as well!
