A two-for-one split of Diamond National Corporation's common stock and a reorganizing of the company into a holding company named Diamond Internationa-l Corporation, were approved at a special stockholders' meeting.

The split increases Diamond National's l0 million authorized shares of common stock to 20 million shares. DN will continue as the symbol on the New York Stock Exchange for the packaging, machinery, lumber and match manufacturer.

Chairman and President William H. Walters reported that 97 percent of the stockholders approved the stock split.

In cases where air conditioning is required, the unit can be leased so that it will be in operation during the hot summer months when most needed.

Hayward Lumber Company celebrated its 54th anniversary during October, Jack Meiners, manager of the Delano, Calif. outlet reports.

To help celebrate, specials in every de' partment were featured and many prizes were given away.

Fifty-four silver dollars were given away. In addition, 54 cents was given for each $5.40 in cash purchases of items other than specials, Meiners said.
