It was with deep regret, Russell noted, that Saner's l6-year association with Santa Fe was brought to a close; however, it became necessary fgr.him.to devole full time to his business interests in the Philippine Islands. Saner and his family were scheduled to leave for the Philippines on the 22nd of August.
