Jack Ivey, manager of the Arcata office of pacific Fir Sales, Pasadena, flew to Los Angeles to attend the con_ vention of the Southern California Retail Lumber Associ_ ation, held at the Ambassador Hotel, Los -A.ngeles, April 4to6.

S. B. Troxel of the S. B. Troxel Lumber Co., Los An_ geles, recently made an auto trip to San Felipe, Baja Cali_ fornia, for :r brief fishing vacation. Ife was accompanied by a party of friends. The fishing is usually l,ery good in that part of Mexico, Mr. Troxel reports, ancl large catches of rnarlin a:e rnade by many fishermen.

Elton Jackson, general manager and Nelson Florey, sales manager, Southern Oregon Sugar pine Corp. and White City Lumber Co., Medford, Oregon, were recent business v_isitors to Los Angeles. While there Mr. Florey visited the annual convention of the Southern California Retail Ltrmber Association, April 4 to 6.

Harry Shedrick l-ras joined the sales staff of the Schaecher_ Kux Lumber Co., Los Angeles. Harry has been associated with the lumber business in Los Angeles for many years ancl was formerly in charge of lumber purchases for the Whit_ ing-Mead Co.

D. L. Hightower, Fleming & Hightorver Lumber Co., l,os Angeles, has returned from a trip to portland, Ore.

Ernie Larson, 'rvho has been for the past three years branch manager at Denver, Colo., for the Celote* Ctrpo_ ration, has been transferred to the San Francisco office. rvhere he is on technical rvork.
