The new Oakland warehouse of Ii' L' Bruce Co', Inc', locatect at 47th Aventte and East 12th Street is a new type of hardrvood flooring and lumber warehouse. Constructed last fall it has been in operation since last December 1' "\\re palletize both flooring and lttmber in the new warehouse in order to eliminate loSs of time in loading lumber yard customers' trttcks," states S. W. Eznekier, district manag'er, San Francisco. "This enables us therefore to load any quantity of either of the two items on the customer's truck within a matter of minutes." At this warehouse all types of hardwood flooring and hardrvood lumber, as u'ell as Bruce Household Products, rvhich are nationally advertised, are distributed. The company's San Francisco rvarehouse is located at 99 San Bruno Avenue, corner of Alameda Street.

The Whittlers "The Whittlers" is the title of an interesting story on wood workers at the North American Aviation plant, Los Angeles, printed in the February issue of "Skyline," the quarterly employee publication of the plant' Well illustrated, the story covers many uses of wood in the aircraft industry which an outsider probably wouldn't even dream of. Wooden models are made of new designs, both scale models and full size, so that engineers can check their calculations before the real plane is built. Much of the work requires precision to within a thousandth of an inch in this very exacting branch of the wood working industry.

Be q Dreoer

Don't be afraid to dream about your burinegc. Don't bc too busy to try and look at it from new anglee, in new lights, through difrerent lenses. No business evcf progresses except through dreamers. If it wcrc not for the dreamers of the world we would still bc living in cavet, dressed in the skine of wild beaste, eating raw meat, and knowing no God. All the credit for the continual march of human progress belongs to dreamers.

God, though this life is but a wraith,

Although we know not what we use, Although \rle grope $'ith little faith, Give me the heart to fight-and lose. Ever insurgent let me be, Make me more daring than devout, From sleep contentment keep me free, And fill me with a buoyant doubt. Open my eyes to visions girt

With beauty-and with wonder litBut let me always see the dirt, And all the spawn that lie in it. From compromise, and things half done, Keep me with storm and stubborn pride; And when, at last, the fight is won, God, keep me stiu unsa,illil;_.r.,

Eqsy Enough It's eaey enough to be grouchy, Whcn cverything gocs dead wrong; But the man who can Ewear When he's walking on air, Is thc man whom I eing in this song. It's easy enough to be grumpY, When life ecemg a8 gay ae a hearse, But the man who will bleat When his luck is complete Is the theme of this rollicking verse. It's easy enough to be gloomy, When dismal, and doleful, and downed, But the guy who will yell When he's wealthy and well, Should be tied to a boulder-and drowned.

What Price Glory? The late Dexter Fellows, press agent for the combined Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey circuses, was one of the great publicity men of his day, and a profound believer in the goods he had to sell. One day he walked into the office of the City Editor of a big newspaper, and said: "I'm Dexter Fellows, of the circus, and I've brought you some good news releases." "What circus?" asked the City Editor.

Better This Way The famous Chicago criminal lawyer, Clarence Darrow, was introduced by a mutual friend to a gentleman who greatly admired Darrow, and was most anxious to hold conversation with him. Said the man: "Ah, Mr. Darrow, I sympathize with you greatly. I feel sure that you have suffered much throughout your life by being misunderstood." Darrow smiled. "Not near as much," he said, "as I would have suffered had I been understood."
