Another cloud on the horizon was described in one of our recent bulletins to the membership. This bulletin concerns itself with the'new federal Consumer Product Safety Act, now on the books and in process of implementation.

The bulletin deserves more than cursory reading because it outlines legislative provisions which can have significant influence on retailing of almost any fabricated product. The scope ofthe act in the field of .consumer safety and protection, the responsibilities of the sellers of products involved, and the penalties which may be assessed for violations - these are some of the consideratiqns suggested for attention by the dealer in planning his merchandising program.
