Solid wood flooring comes in three basic types:

* Strip flooring accounts for the majority of installations. Strips usually come 2-l/4" wide, but also in widths ranging from l-l/2" to 3-114". They are installed by nailing to the subfloor.

* Plank flooring boards are at least 3" wide. Thev mav be screwed to the
