millwork center in Anacortes, Wa. Frontier Building Supply Millwork Center's 5,000-sq. ft showroom features windows, doors, skylights, stairs, fireplace mantels and cabinets.

Operations mgr. Chuck Posey said the new center has an atmosphere that gives both builders and his sales staff some quiet time to talk.

"An environment in a lumberyard can be a little hectic," said Posey. "It's a tougher environment to work in."

Frontier operates lumberyards in Anacortes, Freeland, Oak Harbor and Sedro-Woolley, Wa.

The company reports annual sales of $25 million.

Crown Bolt Opens Cal DC

Crown Bolt Inc., Aliso Viejo, Ca., plans to move into a new 200,000-sq. ft. DC in Stockton, Ca., by early September.

The distributor chose San Joaquin County because it is an established western hub, and Stockton-with access to two freeways-provided a good location, said Crown Bolt's Bob Weaver.
