Fremont Forest Products Corp.'s Long Beach, Ca., terminal has erected a new storage structure primarily for handling panel products, such as MDF, OSB, particleboard and blockboard.

The structure will also accommodate KD lumber, fingerjoint blocks, FJ blanks, moulding, and other dry products.

The 80 ft. by 300 ft. by 28.5 ft. "Acaspan" structure increases the facility's covered storage area by 24,000 sq. ft. to a total of 39,000 sq. ft. under roof. Fremont also has 18.5 acres of paved outdoor storage for green lumber.

This month, Fremont also will begin receiving break-bulk shipments of MDF from New Zealand and
