Forgery Suspect Arrested
An employee of Home Depot, San Leandro, Ca., was arrested on suspicion of forgery, burglary and conspiracy after trying to use a credit card account that she reportedly opened fraudulently earlier that day, according to police.
Keysindra J. Wade, 22, aroused the suspicions of a clerk at the Home Depot in San Ramon when she tried to charge a $ 1,000 gift certificate, because the amount was so high, the account was new, she already had charged $1,500 on the card at another Bay Area Home Depot, the photo on the driver's license she used didn't look like her, and her signature didn't match.
When questioned by a manager who had been called for approval, Wade reportedly became angry and left the store. Minutes later, officers pulled over her car and arrested her and the driver.

Donald Carleton McCann, 72, co-founder ofM& S Building Supply, Monterey, Ca., died June 24 of cancer in Monterey.
A native of Modesto, Ca., he served in the Army Engineers during WWII, rising to staff sergeant.
He was the first and only graduate in 1948 of Monterey Peninsula College and began his tenure in the lumber industry around that same time.
He and partner Richard Stillwell co-founded M & S Supply in 1962. He becarne the sole owner in 1969 and ran the company until his illness.
He was a past president of the Lumber Merchants Association and a member of the executive committee of the present Lumber Association of California & Nevada.
Marshall Edward "Bud" Spaulding, 78, retired sales manager of Hanel Lumber Co., Odell, Or., died June I I in The Dalles, Or.
A native of The Dalles and graduate of Whitman College, he served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He began working for Hanel Lumber Co. in 1950 and retired in 1984.
Ross Ingraham, Jr., 67, retired co-founder and president of Diablo Timber Co., Napa, Ca., died June I I of cancer in Sonoma, Ca.
A native of Eureka. Ca.. and a graduate of UCLA, he began working for Western Pine Supply, Emeryville, Ca.. in 1957.
He was a sales manager for redwood sales at Sunol Forest Products, Pleasanton, Ca., from 1978-1980.

He co-founded Diablo Timber Co. in 1980 and was president until his retirement in 199 I grow 2.7Vo in '98 and 2.2Vo in'99 to top 1.2 million units.

Over the next five years, U.S. demand for caulks and sealants in construction applications should increase 2.'7Vo anntally, about half the growth rate from 1992 to 199'1 , forecasts the Freedonia Group.
For all markets, caulk and sealant demand rose 5.7Vo over the last five years and is expected to climb 3.4Vo yearly from 1997 to2002.
