When the yacht moored next to your home is 127' long and is worth $10 million and the house is the former residence of actor John Wayne in Newport Beach, Ca., you mn expect your dock to be special too. It is.

The dock which home and yacht owner Robert Cohen, co-owner ofthe Beverly Hills Four Seasons Hotel, decided to build is 120' long and has an outside dimension of 52'. Treated Forest Products Inc., Santa Ana. Ca., was selected as the supplier. Company president Mike Jameson notes that the decking, underpinning, fascia, cribbing and blocking are all pressure treated wood. Virtually everything except the handrail, which is natural teak.

The decking is 2x6 allclear lumber. The fascia is 2xl2 select structural exposed. The posts are select structural dense especially milled to an octagonal shape. The underpinnings are all No. I & Btr. 4x6 F.O.H.C. Fonrana Wood Preserving, Fontana, Ca., performed all the treating of the wood.

All stainless steel screws were used in the decking, and the fittings, fasteners, plates and cleats are all hot dipped galvanized.

The price tag for the dock is reputed to be more than $100,000. But seeing that the house is estimated to be worth around $7 million that's probably not out of line.
