Counterfeit Stamps In N.M. Court delays have postPoned the expected awarding of damages on a judgment obtained by Timber Products Inspection, Inc. against Charles E. "Chuck" Lacy in New Mexico. "The judgment," according to Lon J. Sibert, vice president of the lumber division at TP in ConYers, Ga., "results from a lawsuit, Timber Products Inspection Inc. vs Sound Building Products, Inc., et al, filed in the U.S. District Court, CIV 88-0415 SC, against Lacy and others to stoP counterfeit grade stamP usage in New Mexico."

The judgment was obtained Oct. 7, 1988. "Litigation against other parties continues at the present time," Sibert said.

Bowman Sacramento Office

Bowman Lumber Sales, a Cloverdale. Ca.. based lumber wholesaler, has opened a new Sacramento, Ca., area sales oflice, according to Joseph N. Bowman, president.

Robert Glatt, most recently involved in a managerial capacity with Berdex International (nee Berger & Co.), Sacramento, will manage the new ofl]ce.

HWI Invades California

Southern California is the latest target of Hardware Wholesalers Inc. with sales representatives seeking independent retailers for the program.

Shipping to the area will begin as soon as enough dealers accept the program. "l don't know exactly what volume is needed to open a distribution center in the area," Mike McClelland, executive vice president, said, "but that is our long term goal."
