Scott, president of the Arizona Employer's Council, will explore employee law suits and federal employment regulations. Bob Baker, vice president of Lumbermen's Underwriting Alliance. Boca Raton. Fl.. and Arizona State Senator Pete Corpstein will present programs concerning the insurance industry and its costs to the lumber business.

The Western Wood Products Association. in cooperation with the American Plywood Association, American Wood Council, National Forest Products Association and Southern Forest Products Association will unveil a major promotional marketing program for a Plen-Wood raised floor system in Arizona's homes.

Additionally, NLBMDA president Pat McCormick will discuss the lumber business across the country as well as programs from our National Headquarters in Washington D.C.

Other programs being finalized at the time of this writing, include rail transportation of lumber to the Arizona market and employee productivity. Without a doubt, this year's business format will stimulate the thought processes of those attending long after the close of the convention.

If this isn't enough, we have an exciting addition for this year's convention. We will be awarding three grand prizes. The first grand prize is a weekend for two couples aboard Kaibab Forest Products' houseboat the "Lady K" on Lake Powell in Arizona's northlands. This prize will be awarded at the conclusion of Friday's third Annual Wholesalers Extravaganza Night.

To the uninitiated, this fantastic evening, jointly sponsored by industry suppliers, brings customers and prospects together in a gala setting that can never be forgotten. Chairman Rich Bilby has promised some new twists and surprises!

The second grand prize is another houseboat weekend for two couoles at Lake Powell. This prize, courtesy of Nielson Building Materials, Mesa, will be awarded at the ladies luncheon at noon on Saturday. Chairwoman Jan Clark and her committee have put together an exciting program which spouses will not want to miss.

The third grand prize will be awarded at the conclusion of Saturday's presidents' banquet and dance. Back again for the third year is a weekend for two couples aboard "La Vida," Ray Lumber Company's yacht, harbored in San Diego, Ca.

Well, there you are-Arizona's 65th annual convention. A very special room rate of $70 per night has been arranged for attendees. We hope you will all plan to join us and look forward to seeing you.
