HE ALBSA proudly announces its 65th annual convention scheduled for May 7-10 at the new Radisson Hotel Continental in Mesa. Convention chairman Tony Padilla, Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Co., Mesa, and his committee have done an excellent job in preparation forthe coming event. It is anticipated that more than 300 attendees will enjoy an outstanding business program along with some social events that have popularized Arizona's exciting conventions.

The convention commences Wednesday evening, May Z with a reception for NLBMDA president and Mrs. Pat McCormick of Madison, Wi. It is a nice way to welcome them to Arizona and get into the swing of the convention. The following morning features the annual lumbermen's golf tournament which will be played on the new Camelot Golf and Country Club course located north of Mesa. 'lburnament chairman Don Hossack has promised that all participants will come out winners as they vie for numerous prizes and awards. Abuffet awards luncheon has been added this year to provide a proper way to recognize the best and the worst of our intrepid participants.

The ever popular western steak fry will conclude Thursday's program. Attendees will really enjoy the site of this year's western outing and hospitality. While guests are dancing to continuous cowboy music, the lights of Phoenix will come alive from Rustlers Roost situated atop South Mountain. This evening has always brought old friends together and is a relaxing way to meet new friends as well.

We are particularly proud to announce the line up of speakers for our business programs which will be held on Friday morning, May 9, and Saturday morning, May 10. Heading the list are Arizona's First District Congressman John McCain lII, James Galbraith III, vice president, Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Co. Dallas. Tx.. and Arizona State University head football coach John Cooper. Ken Ross. economist for First Interstate Bank of Arizona, will discuss the effects of an ever changing economic atmosphere and its impact upon business in the state. Bob
