PrimeSource Adds Nail Plant
Primesource Building Products, Inc., Dallas, Tx., has acquired a nail manufacturin g operation, following its strategic plan to augment its 45 packaging, fabrication and distribution operations with primary manufacturing facilities.
PrimeSource purchased the nail manufacturing assets of Connecticut
Wire Products, Ltd. and will operate the nail plant at its present location in Wallingford, Ct., under its own name. The facility will offer wire drawing, forming, heading and coating of fasteners, plus full packaging capabilities. A new high-speed automatic packaging line will be installed at the plant to streamline the entrrv process.
PrimeSource chairman and coc.e.o. Marvin Miller said the "acquisition will serve as a model for additional manufacturing operations strategically located throughout the United States."
