Virginia Building Material Association is sponsoring three seminars over the next few months: a credit/collections class in Richmond Nov. 14, an advanced selling/ sales management course in Williamsburg Dec.12, and an engineered building products seminar in Richmond Jan.25.

Mid-America Lumbermens Association has enlisted Ben Cassinerio, owner. Diablo Timber, Napa, Ca., to speak at Expo '96's opening session Feb. 15. The wholesaler is rallying independents in a war on Home Depot. He feels Home Depot is competing unfairly against inde- pendents by using predatory pricing to eliminate all levels of competition and monopclize the building products industry.

MLA's Fall Fun Fling Oct. 6-8 in Branson, Mo., attracted record breaking attendance. Advance registration for the Mid-Am awards luncheon was 150; more than 350 were served. 127 participated in the Cedar Creek Golf Toumament.
