A native of Forest, Ms., Mr. Deaman had been with Southern Lumber about l0 years.
John Pcdler,60, senior account manager for Weyerhaeuser's Hot Springs, Ar., Sales Center, was killed in a car accident in Hot Springs Sept. n,1992.
Mr. Pedlar joined Weyerhaeuser in sdeq ig 19i5, moving o Hot Springs in 1977.

Born in Gurdon, Ar., he spent 15 yea$ at Mid-States Wood Prreservers, Simsboro, La., before joining Olon Belcber in 1990.
Jan Mahaffcy, 30, comptroller for Atlantic Trading, Bimringhan, Al., died in a car accident in Binninghant Sept- ll, 1992.
A native of California, Mrs. Mahaffey joined Atlantic Trading in 1987.
P&M Joins George G. Brown & Co.
George C. Brown Cedar Co. has been formed by Geneva Corp., Greensboro, N.C., and P&M Consuner ProducB, Inc., Stockton, Ca.
Based in Greensboro, the new oompany, forned Aug.24, combines Geneva's Aromatic Cedar products division currently operating as George C. Brown & Co. with all P&M Consumer Aromatic Cedar operations and P&M's plank paneling and incense cedar moulding products. Over the next two months all sales, production and administrative functions will be consolidated at the George C. Brown plant in Greensboro. P&M's production e4uipment will be relocated there with key manufacturing management and hourly personnel. George C. Brown Cedar Co. will retain a reload location in Liule Rock, Ar., to serve as

DeanLumberCo., Gilmer, Tx., will host its annual Pressure Treated Wood SeminarOcr 21.
Activities will begin at 9 a.m., accuding to president Steve Dean. Customers, suppliers and associates will hear a Wolnan presentation by Pam Mitchell, Hickson national accounts manager, and a Dricon presentation and live burn demonstration by Scott Hoffman, Hickson Dricon products rumager. A tour of sawmill and reating facilities will be conducted.
Following a catfish fry, guests will participate in a skeet shooting contest with prizes for both beginners and non-beginners.
