Charles "C.J." Snyder, former owner of Leader Lumber, Inc., Dallas, Tx., died July 11.
Active in the wholesale industry for more than 40 years, he was employed by Slaughter Brothers, Inc. for over 20 years before founding Leader. He retired after selling the company in 1990.
Mr. Snyder was a past officer and director of the North American Wholesale Lumber Association.
EIIis Myers, 59, president of Smith Millwork, Lexington, N.C., died of a heart attack June 29 in Lexington.
Born in Lexington, he began his career in 1957 with G.W. Smith
Lumber Co., joining subsidiary Smith Lumber in 1980.
Mr. Myers served as a director for the White Pine Millwork & Mouldine Association.
William Earl King, Jr., 60, vice president-softwood division for A.P. Hubbard Wholesale Lumber, Greensboro, N.C., died of cancer June 25 in Greensboro.
Born in Norfolk. Va.. he was active in the industry for 35 years, including 25 years as a vice president for McCoy Lumber Co., Greensboro, and six years at A.P. Hubbard.
William Lawrence Fugate, 82, former co-owner of Fugate Lumber Co., Madisonville, Ky., died June 5 in Madisonville.
