Florlda Lumber & Buildlng Materlal Dealers Assoclatlon's 74th annual convention and buying show will be Sept. 14-17 at Marriott's Orlando World Center, Orlando.
Following the theme "Partners for Progress," the program will include Dr. Roger Blackwell speaking on "How to Grow Profits in a Slow Growth Markef' at the kickoff breakfast, lunch with "The Amazing Kreskin," an engineered wood products seminar for architects and engineers, a wood roof tuss seminar for building officials and contractors, roundtables, panel discussions and committee and council meetings.
Exhibits will be open from 10 a.m. to l2:30 p.m. and 2:3O p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 16 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 17 in the Palms Ballroom. Over 290 exhibitors be at the show with 3000 people attending, according to Terry L. Jalbert, assistant executive vice president.
New FLBMDA officers and directors will be inducted at an awards breakfast Sept. 17. The annual meeting and presentation of tbe Associate of the Year award will be part of this event.
