National Home Centers Opening

National Home Centers opened the largest home improvement center in Arkansas May 26.

The 176,000 sq. ft. Fayetteville store is one of the 10 largest home centers in the nation, president and ceo Dwain Newman noted. "When we started 22 yean ago in Springdale as National Window Co., we never dreamed we would grow into the largest full-line building materials retailer in the state."

Covering 16 acres, the new location includes a 137,000 sq. fL showroom, a24,000 sq. ft. lawn and garden area and a 15,000 sq. fL warehouse and lumber storage building. With nine stores, all in Arkansas, the chain expects to start building nro additional Arkansas stores this year.
