New Lowe's Contractor Unit

Emphasizing their commitment to contractors, Lowe's has established a sepiuate, wholly owned subsidiary corporation, The Contractor Yard, Inc.

The company's 18 contractor locations will be renamed The Contractor Yard. Calling the move "a more focused marketing effort to home building contractors," Lowe's Clarissa S.

Felts said no management changes were anticipated.

Lowe's weekly contractor sales two year compound growth rates were up 3Vo in early February although contractror sales of $22 million for the first week of February were down l3%o froml993.
