Westleigh work nearly complete in Wigston Work is approaching completion on 27 new affordable homes in Wigston following a joint venture between the Partnership Homes division of Westleigh Developments and De Montfort Housing Society Ltd, part of the Waterloo Group. The deal between Whetstone-based Westleigh and Leicesterbased De Montfort has seen 13 two-bedroom homes and 14 threebedroom homes built on the site of the former Ecob’s Garden Centre on Horsewell Lane. All the homes have been built from timber frames, supplied by Westleigh’s Westframe factory in Enderby, alongside traditional construction methods. The homes will meet all the size and energy efficiency standards set by the Society. On completion it is expected that 21 of the scheme’s properties will be available for rent and the remaining six will be allocated for shared ownership.
