Time running out to enter the Charnwood Dragons’ Den

BRIGHT business brains are being reminded time is running out to apply to win a free office for a year by entering Charnwood’s Dragons’ Den. Charnwood Borough Council is offering the office, complete with furniture, free wireless internet, and the use of a shared meeting room, in the modern surroundings of the Ark Business Centre in Gordon Road, Loughborough. The prize is worth at least £3,500. To be in with a chance of setting up shop in the new digs, entrants must pitch their idea to a panel of Charnwood’s very own Dragons at Loughborough’s Woodgate Chambers on April 4th. The panel will star council leader Mike Preston, Loughborough University’s Student Enterprise Manager Marina Pickles, Business Link’s Startup Manager Sanjay Pancholi and local self-made business maestro Robert Nash of CLN Associates. The council is thought to be the first local authority in the region to offer such a prize which is designed to give a new business a helping hand. Mr Nash said: “We want to remind people that the clock is ticking and that they must get their entry forms into us by February 28th. “This is a unique prize which could offer one business an amazing chance to kickstart their career in the best possible way in the modern office environment provided at the Ark Business Centre.” To enter or for more information about the prize - including a 360-degree virtual tour - visit the Dragon’s Den section of Charnwood Borough Council’s website www.charnwood.gov.uk/dragonsden. Business pitches can be sent to:
