QUARRY EXTENSION A Happy PROPOSAL SUBMITTED New Bardon Aggregates has submitted a planning application to Leicestershire County Council to extend the life of Bardon Hill Quarry.
The submission follows a two year consultation process which has seen the Company liaise with members of the public, interested groups and Statutory Authorities regarding the plans. During this process the planning team at Bardon Hill has been working with the feedback received at the manned exhibitions, one to one visits at people’s homes and quarry tours to submit a proposal that reflects the views of the public. A leaflet has been distributed to 6,000 households around the quarry detailing the final plans for the proposed extension which have been included in the application. Simon Taylor, Northern Director at Bardon Aggregates said: “Throughout the consultation process we have been committed to taking the views of the public into consideration, and believe that we have submitted a proposal that reflects people’s views.” If you would like any further information on the planning proposal, please contact Simon Taylor – northern director, or a member of the project team on 01530 512323, email bardonhill@aggregate.com or write to Bardon Aggregates Head Office, Bardon Hill, Coalville, LeicS.
