espite the threat of thunderstorm, hundreds of villagers who wished to honor illinois veterans attended shorewood’s Memorial Day celebration. the third annual program, hosted in the village’s towne Center Park, expanded upon previous year’s celebrations. A parade featuring local Boy and Girl scouts, emergency response vehicles from surrounding cities and patriotic residents was followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the Veteran’s Memorial Fountain.
