Shorewood-Troy Public Library’s window may be finished in February, new programs to begin in 2015 The past year has been an active one for the Shorewood-Troy Public Library, and Director Jennie Mills says more exciting plans are in the works. “We’re always doing something new,” Mills said. “We feel we accomplished that last year, and it’s only going to get better in 2015.” The largest project of 2014 is still underway – taking out a structurally unsound two-story window and replacing it with a new one. The venture began in August and took longer than expected with difficulties with the contractor, according to Mills, but is back on track again. SEE THE FULL STORY ON PAGE 2

One of the biggest changes in 2014 for the Shorewood Troy Public Library was the new youth area downstairs, remodeled in late 2013. Construction of the two-story window, seen in the background, began in 2014 and will likely wrap up in early February.
