Rt.66 Stadium sees marked increase in use in 2018 Slammers will increase their annual rent from $25K per year to $75K

After the Joliet Slammers brought home the championship in the Frontier League, good news continued for fans of the team, as the city signed off on the lease to keep the Slammers at Route 66 Stadium Last week’s agreement will give the Slammers a five-year lease to play at Route 66 Stadium, with a provision that would allow the city to bring in an MLB affiliated team with a one-year notice to the Slammers.

The Slammers will increase their annual rent from $25,000 per year to $75,000.

But, the Slammers aren’t the only occupants to help the city grow its stadium use.

According to the city’s Stadium Committee, the Route 66 Stadium has had a significant increase in use in 2018.

In 2017, the stadium hosted a total of 28 events between April and September. That number has risen 73 percent in 2018, with the

stadium hosting 138 total events, and 27 dates holding multiple events.

Per a committee report, while the were no events from October 2017 through February 2018 due to turf completion, the overall dates booked for events still rose.

That usage of the stadium represents a 40 percent overall growth in terms of days used, versus 2017.

The committee expects events to increase in 2019, due to better certainty for availability of dates, the ability to expand with new partners, and the ability of the city’s new director of special events to leverage at least eight months of building relationships

with sports and promotional organizations.

In 2018, in addition to Slammers home games, the Route 66 Stadium hosted high school and college baseball, softball, soccer, concerts and a Zumba event.

The city has also partnered with Pastime Tournaments in an effort to secure long-term success. The organization hosts more than 150 sports tournaments per year. The city is currently working with Pastime Tournaments for 2019 and beyond, to utilize the stadium as well as local high school and college fields to help keep tournaments within the city limits of Joliet.

New venue, great support for Men Who Cook Fundraiser helps raise money for the Will County Children’s Advocacy Center

What do you get when you take 50-plus men, food and a garage?

One of the biggest fundraisers in Will County.

In its 10th year, the Men Who Cook fundraiser, benefiting the Will County Children’s Advocacy Center, was relocated to Chicagoland Speedway and held in the infield garage that houses the Xfinity Series drivers and their cars on NASCAR weekend.

The venue change was needed to accommodate the growing numbers of attendees and what better place than in a garage for guys to show off their culinary talents and raise money.

“Last year we probably lost a couple hundred people because we didn’t have parking and we hit 1,100 last year, and I jokingly said maybe we can hit 2,000 this year,” said Will County State’s Attorney James W. Glasgow, who established the Will County Children’s Advocacy Center in 1995. “But if we get 1,500, I will be ecstatic.”

The Children’s Advocacy Center is a 501(c)3 charitable organization created to improve the integrity of all investigations into allegations of child sexual abuse, while providing “hope, healing and justice for the children and their families.”

Prior to its opening, children who suffered sexual abuse were required to make multiple statements to numerous parties, including law enforcement, child welfare workers and medical professionals, thereby increasing their trauma and enabling predators to exploit minor differences in their various statements.

“Our center is a little different than other child advocacy centers in that we are only 25percent funded by the county and most other centers are up around 75 percent,” Glasgow said. “So we

have to do more fundraising so that is why it is very important that this fundraiser be large and successful.”

Not only did patrons enjoy supporting the cause – so did the men doing the cooking.

While the chefs were from all walks of life, a few police departments in particular went all out, donning costumes and winning the public over not only with their food, but their antics.

“First and foremost, it is a wonderful cause,” said Shorewood Police Detective Paul Hulbert, who was with other Shorewood officers in a luauthemed pulled pork stand complete with Hawaiian shirts and grass skirts. “Our department utilizes their services throughout the year. State’s Attorney Glasgow spearheaded that years ago and we are looking to help them and we are having a great

time and people are loving it.

“As a department, we had a lot of support and great sponsors.

tingham Meats, Milano Bread all donated to us, so we had a lot of support and we wanted to put out a great product to help the Children’s Advocacy Center.”

Possibly the highlight of the vendors was the booth headed up by the Channahon Police Department as they went full Ricky Bobby with their Talladega Nights theme.

“We have come out over the past few years and it is always hard to come up with new themes, but when we saw it was going to be at the speedway, what a better way than to break out Talladega Nights,” said Matt Brooks, Detective Sergeant.

“You can’t pick a better cause,” added Deputy Chief Craig Gunty. “We work with the advocacy center and we see what they do on a daily basis and it is amazing to be able to contribute to their cause.”

They were joined in the booth by Detective Andrew McClelland and Bryan Wellner, an attorney at Mahoney, Silverman and Cross Law Firm.

Even the host of the event was roaming the booths and enjoying the event.

“We are honored to showcase this world class facility to the community and to be able to do it for a good cause like Men Who Cook is even more gratifying,” said Scott Paddock, President of Chicagoland Speedway.

“We are proud to call Joliet and Will County our home and this is one of the benefits of having a facility like this is we can host great events for a great community cause. Everyone seems to be in a great mood and they are raising a lot of money for a great cause. What a perfect night to drive under the tunnel of this facility and be a part of this.”

And Glasgow has a theory about why the weather cooperated.

“We got good weather because God hates the sexual abuse of children,” he said.

Will County Executive Larry Walsh encourages job seekers to be prepared to take advantage of the weekly events.

“The Workforce Center of Will County is the place to go to find a job,” he said. “Susan Flessner and her staff work hard to organize these weekly job fairs that bring multiple employers to one location at one time.”

Drug Bust nets $2.1 Million in Heroin Will County Sheriff Mike Kelley announced Sept. 21 that the Sheriff’s Offices’ ongoing efforts in fighting the heroin epidemic in our communities has yielded a heroin bust in excess of $2.1 million. Sheriff Kelley stated, “We are stopping these drug traffickers in their tracks. Our Gang Suppression Unit accomplished this with the help of Romeoville and Bolingbrook police officers.

Through our coordinated efforts we removed 21 kilos of heroin off the streets.”

Sept. 20, the Gang Suppression Unit came in contact with a suspicious vehicle near I-55 and the I-355 exit. Deputies spoke with the driver, Pedro Mirando, age 46, of 5949 N. Kenmore, Chicago, and Maria Delgado, age 31, of 1521

W. Foster of Chicago. While a check of Mirando’s history was being conducted, a narcotics dog did a search of the vehicle and positively indicated for drugs. Five kilos of heroin was located in the rear of the vehicle.

During the course of the interviews, Delgado referenced having additional heroin at her home.

She consented to allow deputies to search her Chicago residence where Gang Suppression deputies seized an additional 16 kilos of heroin.

Mirando and Delgado were both charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. They are being held at the Adult Detention Facility and will be in bond court Sept.

Change to restrict short term rentals hits road block Trustees, commissioners balk at “too restrictive” amendment

The village of Shorewood will take a closer look at how shortterm rentals of residential properties are regulated in town. But, the plan doesn’t exactly have the ringing endorsement from the majority of elected and appointed officials.

On Sept. 11, the board held the first reading of an ordinance that would amend the zoning code with respect to short term rentals.

The proposal would first define a “short-term rental” as a single-family dwelling, or a residential dwelling unit in a multi-unit structure that is rented for a fee for less than 30 consecutive days, and would then prohibit such a rental.

Violation of the amendment would be a $250 fine for the first offense, $500 for second, and $750 for any subsequent.

But when the plan went before the Planning and Zoning Commission earlier in the month, commissioners were a hard no, voting unanimously against the change, saying that problem the amendment seeks to solve is limited and infrequent.

The issue was first brought to the board via the Citizens Advisory Committee, where residents said at least one home in town was being utilized as a “party house,” allowing weekend rentals that brought in bands and party buses on weekends, disturbing the peace and causing an all-out ruckus.

But, both plan commissioners

and village trustees said that while they sympathize with the issue, it’s not to the point that the village needs to pass a local law.

“It’s a more complicated issue to everyone who was reviewing it,” said Interim Community Development Coordinator Rod Tonelli.

“It wasn’t necessarily spoken, but I think based on the tone of the conversation and comments from the plan commissioners, my take away was that the reason for the unanimous denial, they did not feel the problem was as systemic as to warrant a legislative response at this point… The simplified version was, they did not see this as the right solution for problem.”

Additionally, those opposed to the change said the ban on short term leases would have some unintended consequences, including make illegal the short-term accommodations that some people use when they are displaced from their homes due to damage from fire or natural disasters.

Village officials also said there are already nuisance ordinances on the books to deal with noise violations and loud neighbors.

“This thing as it’s written is extremely restrictive,” said Trustee Dan Warren. “This thing does not take into any consideration the examples that were put out, like fire or something like that. This thing is way too restrictive… If it’s one house, why are we making a blanket statement.”

But Trustee Anthony Luciano, who is the board liaison to the Citizens Advisory Board, said he didn’t

“This is something that was generated back from a complaint to the board from a resident, who happened to live by a home where this was going on, a short-term rental. There were numerous complaints also on social media related to it,” he said.

Luciano added that the infrequency of the issue does not mean that it isn’t important enough to be addressed.

“It seems like most of the things we do pass, once something happens in town, so we have an ordinance, are limited and infrequent,” Luciano said. “There are instances with noise control in different parts of the village that just happen once, but we act upon it. Now, maybe this needs some work, and we need to come up with something that works for both sides, but, the bottom line is we leave it in a situation where we have a resident that complained, people are concerned about it, and if we ask those people, they still haven’t

solved their problem by saying that we have ordinances for it. Because in many cases… there’s nothing we can do about it. You send the police out there, for noise ordinance, sometimes there’s nothing they can do. No one wants to sign the complaint.”

Luciano said the issue merits more discussion and asked that the amendment be tweaked and brought back to the board.

The board took no action on the amendment. The issue is expected to come back to the board on Sept.

of local municipalities in the Midwest dealing with the fallout from the emerald ash borer infestation. The village began the tree removal and replacement project back in 2014, utilizing Arbortek for tree removal, and The Fields on Caton Farm for replacement trees.

The invasive emerald ash borers can destroy ash trees from the inside, beginning with dieback of the upper and outer parts of the trees. The trees also show additional sprouting at the base of the trunk and develop vertical splits

in the bark.

Infested trees also attract woodpeckers, which each the pests under the bark.

Emerald ash borers are not dangerous to humans or pets but are capable of killing ash trees of any size, age, or health. Infested trees usually die in two to four years.

Shorewood’s ash tree program was budgeted in the current fiscal year for $300,000. The board approved a $100,000 tree purchase earlier this year, which allowed for replacement of approximately 348 trees.

More ash trees set to come down

As the seasons change, the village of Shorewood moves forward with additional plans to remove damaged ash trees from sites around town.

Earlier this month, the village board approved a $200,000 purchase for tree removal.

The village has been working with Arbortek Services, Inc., since 2016 on the ash tree removal program. The pricing includes complete removal of ash trees from village parkways, haul away of materials, and grinding stumps12 to 14-inches deep and wide to allow for new plantings.

The latest extension of the project has no price increase from previous years and will cover three zones in the village. It’s an

ongoing project that has the village revisits several times a year.

“We discussed this at the committee of the whole, we presented some information on what’s remaining,” said Public Works Supervisor Chris Drey. “We received this letter from Arbortek holding the price from 2016, so we’re looking for the board’s approval to allow us to continue removing those ash trees from the parkways.”

Lincoln turns tide in debates against Douglas in Galesburg

BY OWEN W. MUELDER FOR THE REGISTER-MAIL OF GALESBURG The Lincoln-Douglas Debates are among the most important events in the United State’s history.

The seven debates were conducted throughout Illinois in the summer and fall of 1858. Not only significant in their own time, the debates have since been recognized as an ultimate example of our political process which has continued throughout the centuries as most office seekers nationwide debate each other every campaign season.

Stephen A. Douglas and Abraham Lincoln were respectively the Democratic and Republican party candidates for the U.S. Senate. The primary question these men discussed was whether slavery should be extended into the nation’s territories.

Lincoln was not an abolitionist, but he loathed slavery and looked forward to a time when it would disappear. He also maintained that it should be forbidden from being established in new states that desired to join the Union. Douglas defended the concept of “Popular Sovereignty,” whereby the people who resided in western territories should have the right to decide if slavery would be allowed.

The slavery question was so important then that no other political issue was raised by either candidate during the debates.

Public oratory was popular in the 19th century; both candidates often used harsh language and outspoken mud-slinging to characterize each other. People attending these contests also shouted out derogatory comments and catcalls toward both men. Spectators came from every part of Illinois to hear the speakers and newspapers throughout the country published detailed accounts.

The first debate, in Ottawa, was held on a blisteringly hot day in the third week of August. Most historians agree Douglas put Lincoln on the de-

fensive; consequently, the “Little Giant” appeared to be the winner.

However, at the second contest in Freeport, Douglas was put on the defensive. Lincoln asked Douglas how he could reconcile his “Popular Sovereignty” stance with the Supreme Court’s Dred Scott decision, which ruled that slaveholders had the right to introduce slavery into the territories. If Douglas responded that he supported the Dred Scott decision he would please Southerners, but if he stood by his “Popular Sovereignty” position, most Southerners would never forgive him.

His reply that day has since been dubbed the “Freeport Doctrine.”

Douglas responded to Lincoln’s query by saying the people who settled a territory would determine whether or not slavery could exist there. Put back on his heels, he hoped his answer would satisfy all parties, but it failed.

The third debate, in mid-September in downstate Jonesboro, was poorly attended. In southern Illinois, slavery was popular with many citizens. Lincoln finally came out more forcefully in Jonesboro, but he faced a hostile crowd and was characterized by Douglas as a radical. This debate is considered by most scholars a somewhat inglorious affair. The fourth debate, in Charleston, was on neutral ground for both men and is remembered as a stalemate.

On a chilly day at Knox College’s Old Main in Galesburg, the fifth debate on Oct. 7 drew more spectators than any of the other six contests.

Lincoln scholars are nearly unanimous in describing this debate as the one where Lincoln found his legs, displaying a confidence he had not shown before.

Lincoln knew Galesburg was an abolitionist town, known for harboring fugitives on the Underground Railroad. Standing erect and selfassured on a stage above the crowd, Lincoln spoke for the first time at length about the immorality of slavery.

“I confess myself as belonging to that class in the country that contemplates slavery as a moral, social and political evil,” he said. Paraphrasing Henry Clay, he accused Douglas of “blowing out the moral lights around us.”

Lincoln biographer Benjamin Thomas described the Galesburg contest as the turning point for Lincoln. One Boston newspaper reporter described Lincoln as “eloquent and bold.” Lincoln was so successful emphasizing this moral theme in Galesburg that he repeated it at the sixth debate in Quincy.

Douglas, often a heavy drinker, was described as “tight”and spoke slowly, hammering home his contention that decisions about slavery should be left to local and state governments. In the final debate, at Alton, which was a rehashing of the previous points, Douglas, his voice fraying, seemed worn down. An energetic Lincoln said the Declaration of Independence applied to all men, not just some, and the slavery question was between right and wrong.

In November, the state Legislature re-elected Douglas by 54 to 46, but the debates catapulted Lincoln’s name and reputation across the nation; the Republican Party nominated him for the presidency two years later. His election victory proved to be a significant watershed in American history.

When Plainfield North traveled to Minooka Friday night with both teams holding an identical 2-2 record, the game had that must-win feel in the air.

The winner of the Southwest Prairie tilt gave itself an easier road into the IHSA state playoffs needing to win just two of its remaining two games as opposed to the loser having only room for one more loss.

The host Indians got out to the fast start and then held off an Indian comeback to claim the 31-27 win and move to 3-2 on the season, winning three straight games.

“That was a huge deal. We dug ourselves an 0-2 hole, then got ourselves out of it, but we could have gone back into it,” said Minooka coach John Belskis. “I have to credit our defense. They played so well. We did a lot of

good things offensively, but our lack of consistency is troubling right now and that is the thing we have to continue to work on. Our defensive coaches do a great job. We gave up some explosion plays which we don’t like. Usually when there is an explosion play, it is a missed tackle somewhere, but we are young. We have 17 juniors and two sophomores starting.”

Minooka would get the scoring going less than a minute into the game when Noah Ellens took the ball 72-yards for a score with 11 minutes, 40 seconds left to play in the opening quarter.

The Tigers answered back when Eben Heine hit Garret Cook for a 25-yard score to knot the game at 7-7.

Tobenna Enyi then ran in from 11-yards out to go up 13-7.

Joliet Central earns second win of season

All week long the Joliet Central football team was aiming for perfection. In the end it was an imperfect play that helped the Steelmen match in five weeks what it had taken them the previous eight years to accomplish.

Ke’Andre Wiley scored a key second half touchdown by recovering his own fumble and the Steelmen went onto a 16-12 victory over Plainfield Central before an appreciative Homecoming crowd on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 22, at the Joliet Central Stadium.

The victory was the second of the season for Joliet Central (2-3, 2-3 in the Southwest Prairie Conference). Entering this season, in the previous eight years combined, the Steelmen had two wins. They defeated Romeoville 26-6 to open this season and now have two victories in a month. The Wildcats (1-4, 1-4) saw their slim playoff hopes diminish.

“That was the Men of Steel out there,” Joliet Central coach Brett Boyter said. “There were a bunch of warriors on both sides with their guys playing their guts out, too. It was a fantastic game, and we were getting down to the nitty-gritty, and guys who

don’t play a lot were ready to go and stepped in and helped their team win and played hard.

“We dressed 31 guys and all of them were ready to play. I’m very proud of these guys, including guys like Ke’Andre Wiley, who didn’t come off the field.”

Not only did Wiley not come off the field, the field gave him the best bounce of the day. At least for the Steelmen. Leading 7-0 midway through the third quarter, they decided to go for it on fourth-and-seven play. They handed the ball to Wiley, who looked to get the first down, but instead ran into his own player and fumbled.

The ball, however, bounced right back up to him, and he raced in to complete a 24-yard touchdown run. While the extra point was missed, it still gave the Steelmen a 13-0 lead with 5:41 left in the third quarter.

“It was just the discipline we had on the field,” Wiley said of the key to the victory. “In practice we had to do 10 perfect plays. We did that and this game was won then [in practice] not today [last Saturday].”

Then how did Wiley, a senior running back/linebacker, explain the imperfect play that netted him the TD scamper?

“I guess it was a perfectly bad play,” he smiled. “It was just a miscommunication on my behalf. I bumped into [sophomore running back] Elijah Smith and fumbled. But the ball just came right back to me. I really think that play had the biggest effect on the game.”

Wiley (8 carries - 37 yards) got most of his yardage in the game on that play and it certainly gave Joliet Central a big shot in the arm. The Wildcats got on the board when senior wide receiver Reese Lillie hauled in a 27yard TD pass from junior quarterback James Buck with 10:39 to play in the game. The extra point kick, however, banged off the right upright leaving the score at 13-6.

The Steelmen defense then held tight. Junior linebacker Jayden Perez, who long with Wiley had a pair of sacks, had a huge sack with just under two minutes to play that resulted in a fumble. Senior defensive lineman Alexander Gregurich recovered. That led to a game clinching 20-yard field goal by Perez with 27.9 seconds to play in the game.

Plainfield Central did drive down at the very end and get a final touchdown. That was another connection from Buck to Lillie. This one from 9-yards out

on a snap that took place with a tenth of a second on the clock.

There was no extra point kick attempted.

Buck finished 13-of-19 for 196 yards and the two TD’S. Senior wide receiver Joey Kramarsky had four receptions for 67 yards as the Wildcats had 247 yards total. Senior Jared King was 6-of15 for 70 yards for Joliet Central, which finished with 140 total yards. The Steelmen scored first on a 1-yard TD run by Smith, who earlier in the drive had converted a first down on a fourthand-one run. The touchdown took place with 3:30 left in the opening half.

Both teams had good defensive efforts. Senior linebacker Angel Vargas had a 44-yard interception return and recovered a fumble, while senior linebacker Luke Helman, Gregurich and Perez also recovered fumbles for the Steelmen. Senior linebacker Tyler Draves had two sacks and junior safety Bruce Pendleton picked off a pass for Plainfield Central.

“Coach Boyter has a good core group of guys, and they’re coached well,” Plainfield Central coach Jon Pereiro said. “They had a number of two-way players who went out on every play and worked their tails off, so it was a good job by them. Things kind of spiraled and snowballed with some mistakes that we made. We put a lot into the week and worked our tails off, so this one hurts, there’s no doubt about it. But I know we’ll come back and fight [this] week.”

A little over two years earlier, on Sept. 17, 2016, Joliet Central broke a 57-game losing streak with a 38-35 last second victory over the Wildcats. That was the first win for the Steelmen since they once again became their own program in the 2010 season.

They also defeated Romeoville 42-40 to end that season, but went winless again last year.

We had two blown coverages and gave up 14 points, that is pretty easy pickings for them,” said North coach Tim Kane, “In the second half, both sides played better. We played a lot better in the second half.”

With 2:30 to play in the third quarter, North cut the lead when Heine hit Jaylon Tillman for a 62-yard score and took the lead in the closing minute of the quarter on a 60-yard interception return from Logan Todorovic.

Less than two minutes into the final quarter, Minooka would go ahead again when Ellens (17 carries, 192 yards) would score from 19 yards out for his second touchdown of the game.

“Our offense gave up the defensive touchdown and gave them momentum and water bottles were flying, but we came right back and answered that,” Belskis said. “The play of the

game was the third and 18 play where we hit Stevie over the middle and flipped the field and were able to come down and take the lead. I told the kids at the timeout that I don’t have anything on the sheet for third and 18, but that play has been good to us and we executed it well. One play doesn’t decide the game, but that play was huge.”

North would get the ball back and get inside the Minooka 10yard line, but were unable to punch it in.

“It is a lot more fun when we come out on top, but their kids played hard, too,” Kane said.

“We got the score and the lead

and they went back up. Our defense made a great stop and we got the ball in there and it was disappointing to come up short.

I am just proud of what the kids and how we came back in the second half. We came up short, now we just need to get back to work.”

Heine ended the game 10-for20 for 166 yards, 2 TDs and 2 interceptions. He carried the ball 11 times for a team-bet 62.

“Eben is a competitor. He wants the ball in his hands and wants to make plays and he hates to lose,” Kane said. “A lot of kids want to win, but the ones you want are the ones that hate to lose.”

While Minooka took the first step of the two teams toward a playoff berth, on paper, both teams have enough winnable games to reach the needed five wins.

“I am happy for the kids. This senior class didn’t have a lot of luck their freshman and sophomore years and then they were riding the coat tails of last year’s seniors, so hopefully they have the confidence of what we did and build on that and keep it rolling,” Belskis said. “We need to carry this into next week and prepare for Central and see if we can get ourselves in a position to be a playoff team and a highly seeded playoff team.”

City seeking PR firm assistance with alternative water source study The City of Joliet is accepting qualifications to provide public relations consulting services for Phases I and II of the City’s alternative water source study.

A study completed by the Illinois State Water Survey of the sandstone aquifers in Northeastern Illinois identified decreased groundwater levels.

It is generally understood based on this research that partial desaturation of the Ironton-Galesville aquifer could occur within 10 to 15 years.

Therefore, the City has begun preparations for an alternative water supply to either replace or supplement the City’s reliance on deep well aquifers.

The intent is to study the issue in two phases. Phase I, to be completed in January 2019, will be a high level review and evaluation of 14 alternative water sources for general feasibility based upon water quality and water quantity.

The analysis will be conducted two ways (1) as an alternative water source for Joliet and (2) as an alternative regional water source. Phase II, to be completed in December 2019, will provide a more detailed study of the viable alternatives identified in Phase I. One public relations firm will be selected to develop public relations strategy and implementation for the following constituencies: 1.) Lo-

Sheriff’s Office looking for suspect in multiple door-to-door thefts Third incident was reported on Golfview Drive in Joliet The Will County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual who is going door-to-door impersonating a cleaning product salesman.

The individual is knocking on doors to see if resident’s are home. If the resident answers the door, he begins to engage them in conversation regarding a cleaning spray he is selling.

If no one answers the door, the individual is stealing packages and checking for unlocked vehicle doors.

In a reported incident on 9/14/18, a homeowner contacted the Sheriff’s Office to share a security video that showed the individual approach the front door, steal two packages that had been delivered earlier that day, and leave the residence.

The individual was observed with a spray bottle.

This incident occurred on the 2400 block of Chevy Chase Drive in

Plainfield Township.

The following day, 9/15/2018, on Lockner Blvd. in Joliet, the same individual knocked on the door and spoke with the homeowner outside on the front porch.

The individual spoke to the homeowner about selling him the cleaning spray.

When the man left the residence, the homeowner realized his cell phone was missing from a table he had set it on.

A third incident was reported on Golfview Drive in Joliet with the same individual approaching a residence with cleaning spray.

Sheriff’s detectives have also been informed by Midlothian Police that they believe the same individual was committing these types of thefts in their jurisdiction in early September.

The individual is described as a male, black, in his 20’s, about 6ft. tall, and 180 lbs.

The subject has tattoos on his forearms. Sheriff’s detectives are asking the public to help identify this individual and if they have any information to please contact Detective Beckman at 815-727-8574 ext: 4933.
