Several Troy Middle School students have been selected to participate in the distinguished 2017 All-Illinois Junior Band, which will perform January 13 and 14 at the University of Illinois Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. According to Troy Community School District 30-C band director William Goetz, the students who were selected are Layne Barry (clarinet), Julianna Crompton (horn), Jessica Cruz (flute), Sophia Delgadillo (flute), Paola Lozada (clarinet), Mitchell Lucas (bass clarinet), Ellen Lundeen (horn), Jenna Smith (flute) and Julie Wang (horn). Alternates are Abigail Olson (bass clarinet) and Tabitha Barowsky (bassoon).
