The cold didn’t scare away residents from attending Romeoville’s Halloween Fest hosted by the Parks & Recreation Department October 27 at Village Park. Nearly 2,500 residents bundled up in the brisk fall weather for trick-or-treating, hayrides, a costume contest, games, a pumpkin patch and inflatables. The annual free event is a cooperative community event sponsored by the Village of Romeoville, the Romeoville Chamber of Commerce and many local businesses and organizations. For those looking for more Halloween fun, check out the 7th annual Costume & Cocktails event for those 21 years and over from 7 to 11 pm this Saturday, Nov. 4 at High Point Friendship Centre (175 High Point Drive). Tickets are $20 per person with proceeds benefitting the Youth Outreach Commission. For more information, call 815-886-6222.
