PLAINFIELD FEST. Mark your calendars for Plainfield’s largest annual event and a downtown Plainfield tradition. Plainfield Fest returns to downtown Plainfield for a weekend full of fun for all ages with rides, food, music, bags competition, pizza contest, craft and business vendors, and much more! The Plainfield Fest committee has once again partnered with North American Midway Entertainment to provide the carnival attractions for Plainfield Fest this year. In addition, we’re working on some new activities and enhancements to the festival that we’re sure the community will love. The entertainment stage is the hub of Plainfield Fest. Long-lost friends gather in the beer tent and around the stage to relax, listen to great music, and reconnect. Plainfield Fest is held in downtown Plainfield, centered at the intersection of Lockport Street and Des Plaines Street.

Morton Grove Days Festival is a spectacular 3-day community event featuring carnival rides, games, kid’s activities, a beer garden, food court, fantastic live entertainment, and a business showcase. Family-friendly July 4th activities start at 2:30 pm with a Parade on Dempster Street, featuring marching bands, floats, drum corps, and patriotic entries. SUMMER ART SERIES. This year marks Lockport’s first annual Summer Art Series. The art is free to all and can be found in the historic I&M Canal (literally), on the Lincoln Landing, and in the Gaylord Building. Visit the Canal to see the Canal Weaves by John Siblick, see the incredible foam artwork of Legacy 3D, stop in at the Gaylord Building and head to the second floor for the Steampunk art of Jason Brammer.
