he village of niles holly Jolly Market returned for a second year to offer more activities and entertainment, and attracting bigger crowds. the festival, which took place nov. 28, is part of Mayor andrew Przybylo’s effort to organize more community events throughout the village. Some of this year’s new features included a petting zoo, a marshmallow roasting fire pit and a storytime with Mrs. Claus for little kids. Similar to last year, the Christmas tree lighting was a major part of the event. but this time around, the tree lighting was accompanied by fireworks. hayley garard, the village’s communications and multimedia coordinator, said the number of people who attended increased dramatically from last year. the residents who spoke with the bugle said they enjoyed the festival, adding that this year’s event was an improvement.
