C
ommuters in niles and Park ridge could soon have quicker, more convenient way to get around. Pace consultants revealed plans for the new Pulse Milwaukee line during a corridor advisory group meeting at the niles Public library on April 14. the goals of Pulse are to improve travel time, frequency, reliability and the quality of facilities, Pace representatives said at the meeting. Pulse will provide limited-stop express service, vehicles with Wi-fi, real-time bus arrival signage and stations that are easy to locate. the Pulse Milwaukee line would serve as the pilot line for the Pulse network, which is part of Pace’s Vision 2020 plan to enhance and modernize suburban public transportation. the line will serve riders along Milwaukee Avenue between golf Mill Shopping Center in niles and the Jefferson Park transit Center in Chicago.
