Community celebrates grand opening of Iceland Sports Complex Approximately 1,000 people, including park district and village representatives, celebrated the official grand opening of the niles Iceland Sports Complex Saturday morning. The celebration took place from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the new niles Park District facility, 8435 ballard Road. niles Mayor Andrew Przybylo, village Manager Steven vinezeano, niles Police Chief Dennis McEnerney, and representatives from the niles Public Library and area school districts were among the estimated 1,000 who attended the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony.
