Niles Park District officials hope to have a new skate park at Washing Terrace Park open by the fall.

On Aug. 4, the Niles Park District Board unanimously voted to award $54,820 to Manuso Concrete and $108,196.97 to L.A.based Spohn Ranch Skate Parks. An outbound Metra train struck and killed a person in Morton Grove during the evening commute on Aug.4.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the death of Pavel Landau, 53, of Morton Grove a suicide after an autopsy. He died from multiple injuries resulting from outbound train No. 2127 train hitting him around 4:50 p.m. near Beckwith Road and Lehigh Avenue.

The outbound was scheduled to arrive in Deerfield at 5:10 p.m. However, after it struck Landau, all service on the Milwaukee District / North Line was halted for about 45 minutes.

The top hit in a quick online search for synthetic urine kits was Cincinnati, Ohio based Spectrum Labs. The company has been in business since 1992 and advertises itself as a “leader in Detox Products with the only patented formulas of Quick Fix Synthetic Urine and Urine Luck Additive.”

The company says its “Quick Fix” synthetic urine is premixed in a laboratory to mimic the pH balance, specific gravity, creatinine, and several other urine characteristics of clean human urine and can be used by either gender.

Yaras said that the synthetic liquid is urine for all intensive purposes. The kit’s design also features the urine bag connected to a tube and one heat pack.

“When you go to take a drug test, you can warm it up to body temperature,” said Yaras.

“A lab, unless they know to look for it, they’ll think it’s clean urine.”

Zakir’s next court date is Aug. 22.

After the altercation, the two vehicles continued west on Touhy Avenue, and eventually, the occupants of both cars “exchanged words” with each other as they continued into Skokie.

Around 3:19 p.m., the two cars were stopped in traffic in the 5500 block of Touhy Avenue, and Enriquez-Ramirez,still sitting in the passenger seat of the Chevrolet, allegedly shot the victim in the head with a pellet gun.

A Niles police cruiser rearended another vehicle at a stoplight the evening of Aug. 2.

Around 10:44 p.m. an officer near the end of an eight-hour shift was driving southeast on Milwaukee Avenue when he reportedly saw something that

distracted him.

“As he was approaching the intersection something caught his attention and he turned to look and struck the car in front of him that was stopped at the intersection,” said Niles police Sgt. Robert Tornabene. “That vehicle was pushed into the vehicle in front of the first car.”

The three-car accident happened at the intersection of Milwaukee Avenue and Oakton Street.

Tornabene said the people in the two cars were not injured and refused medical treatment while the officer suffered a

minor upper body injury and was transported to Lutheran General Hospital for treatment before being released later that night.

“The officer has since returned to duty,” said Tornabene.Police said the officer had been on shift since 3 p.m. and alcohol did not appear to have been a factor in the accident. Additionally, authorities said the accident investigation is closed as Niles police takes responsibility for causing the accident. At press time an internal police review of the accident was ongoing.

A new refuse collection contact with Groot Industries brings about some exciting changes for residents. Carts are here! The enhanced refuse and recycling collection program will now supply residents with one 95 gallon refuse cart and one 65 gallon recycling cart.

With the introduction of carts, plastic trash bags will no longer be allowed at the curb unless they are inside the Groot refuse cart.

Enforcement of “No plastic trash bags” will begin September 1, 2014 after the carts are delivered to homes.

Residents who want a second 95 gallon refuse cart may rent them from Groot for a very low rate by calling 800-244-1977.

Residents currently renting carts will receive a rebate from Groot for their remaining 4 months of rental.

Multi-family dwellings will also now have access to a recycling drop off at the Public Services building located at 6849 W. Touhy.

Another exciting addition is that Groot will immediately begin collecting bundled brush with regular yard waste

Gov. Pat Quinn traveled to Monee Aug. 7 to announce the state will host an industry forum in September with private developers, air carriers and potential airport tenants to create a business plan and strategy to complete the South Suburban Airport project “as quickly and efficiently as possible.”

The move follows the state’s recent $32.4 million purchase of Bult Field – a general aviation airport in Monee that will serve as the SSA’s first runway.

“Bult Field and the upcoming industry forum are further proof that the South Suburban Airport is closer than ever to becoming an economic engine for Illinois,” Quinn said. “The upcoming industry forum will be an opportunity for Illinois’ bright minds to get together to ensure this historic project can land on-time and on-target. This project, as well as the Illiana Expressway, are top priorities of my administration and will help create jobs and unlock the true economic potential of the south suburban region.”

On Aug. 4, a trio of legislators – state senators Toi Hutchinson, D-Chicago Heights, and Donne Trotter, D-Chicago, and state Rep. Kate Cloonen, D-Kankakee, heard from Peotone-area residents hot about the state continuing to buy land, including Bult Field, even though the federal government hasn’t issued a final Record of Decision yet.

Bult Field will remain a general aviation facility under state ownership. Once the South Suburban Airport is up and running, Bult Field will become part of the overall facility and continue to fulfill the area’s general aviation needs.

Will not surrender one millimeter of liberty to pander to the paranoia Opposition to having gun range/store that meets all pre-existing rules should be seen as harassment, discrimination against gun owners Ms. Gray’s diatribe against Niles’ decision to allow a new gun range is oblivious to the central issue that this is, first and foremost, a civil rights issue.

“To keep and bear arms” is a fundamental right protected by the constitution. The Supreme Court decisions in the Heller and McDonald cases are just as important in their sphere as

Brown v. Board of Education was in the field of education.

The opposition to having a gun range and store that meets all pre-existing rules should be seen as harassment and discrimination against gun owners. How can this be justified?

In opposition to this fundamental right, we hear far-

fetched fears of exaggerated or imaginary dangers. Is there any plausible way that these could happen?

Gray concludes with the silly threat to move out of town. She would sell her current residence to someone who would provide just as much tax revenue as she does. If she does decide to move for this reason, I say “Good riddance”.

My own view is that I would not surrender one millimeter of my liberty to pander to the paranoia of people like this.

Russia’s ban on agriculture imports from the United States will have little impact, local and state agriculture officials say.

In fact, it likely will hurt the Russian people more, they add.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday put oneyear bans and limits on food and agricultural imports from nations that have imposed sanctions on Russia over its defiant stance on Ukraine, including the United States. The announced ban on finished ag products like beef, pork, poultry meat, fish, cheese, milk, vegetables, and fruit went into effect Aug. 7.

County farmers have a lot of their goods on the global market, thanks to the CenterPoint intermodals in Joliet and Elwood. But much of it goes to China, Singapore, the United Kingdom and Japan, said Will County Farm Bureau Manager Mark Schneidewind, who added, “Not as much with Russia.”Twenty years ago, Russia’s ban on ag products from the EU, USA, Australia, Norway, and Canada, would have sent a shudder through farm country, the Illinois Farm Bureau said. “(But) not today. … Many of the banned products have experienced checkered export results to Russia in recent years anyway (notably poultry, once 40 percent of all U.S. exports, now only 7 percent). …

Notably,Russia has implemented restriction after restriction (indeed to outright bans) on these and other products from the U.S. for reasons not based on science. Often implemented for political reasons or to boost Russia’s own ag sector, those bans and restrictions are in direct conflict with Russia’s WTO obligations.”

Grain farmers across the Midwest are saying Putin’s embargo on U.S. ag products

by the numbers With Illinois producing 17 percent of the nation’s soybeans, the value of the Russian export market to Illinois soybean farmers is roughly $27 million per year. In the context of Illinois annual soybean exports worldwide of $3.1 billion per year, the value of the Russian market is 0.01 percent. will not have a serious impact on Midwest farmers. Experts in agricultural trade agree. It’s not that Russia doesn’t have huge potential as a trading partner; it is that Russia has been an unreliable and declining ag trade partner recently. Currently, Russia restricts U.S. pork, turkey and beef by applying what USDA has called “unjustified sanitary measures.”

Moreover, current U.S. agricultural exports to Russia pale in comparison to other notable markets or top trading partners. Russia is not even in the top 10 largest importers of U.S. corn, soybeans, cotton, or wheat according to USDA. To date this marketing year, Russia has not imported any U.S. corn or wheat.

For Illinois,the primary impact of the ban would first be on sales of corn and soybeans (for feed) to the domestic poultry sector, ag experts say. As noted above, poultry exports to Russia (as a share of total U.S. poultry meat exports) are no longer as important as they once were.

In addition, Russia is a customer for Illinois soybeans, although soybeans and their byproducts are not currently on Russia’s list of banned products.

While soybean and soybean product exports to Russia have been growing in recent years, they remain less than 0.73 percent of total U.S. soybean exports in 2013.

It was one sordid and disgusting story after another in the second day of testimony in Bethany McKee’s trial for the notorious Hickory Street murders.

Prosecutors played a videotape Tuesday afternoon of the defendant’s confession to the crimes. It was two hours of lurid details.

The tape showed Joliet police detectives Stephen Diehl and Tim Powers as they interviewed Bethany McKee on Jan. 11, 2013, the day after the murders. The session was held inside the Kankakee police department because the defendant had been picked up in that city. Expecting to be caught and jailed, the Shorewood woman had driven there to see her young daughter’s father.

Bethany McKee, 20, is charged with murder in connection with the Jan. 10, 2013, deaths of Eric Glover and Terrence Rankins, both 22, of Joliet.

In late May, Massaro pleaded guilty to lesser charges -- two counts of robbery and two counts of concealing a homicide – and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.As part of the plea deal approved by state prosecutors, Massaro also agreed to testify against the other defendants in their trials.

As the videotape begins, Bethany McKee seems to be wearing black clothing and her hair is colored a darker shade than its current dishwater blonde. She is sitting at the far corner of a rectangular table inside a room at the Kankakee police department. Throughout most of the tape, she seemed relaxed and chatty.

The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident, and was treated and released from Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, police said.EnriquezRamirez, of the 7400 block of N. Damen Ave., Chicago, was charged with battery. He was able to post a $1,500 bond and is expected to appear in court again on Sept. 2.

In an unrelated incident a short time after the shooting, a car reportedly struck a cyclist in the 7000 block of Carpenter Road. No further details regarding this other incident were available at press time.

High school football opens up in two weeks

With high school football just two weeks away, it is time to break down each area team’s schedule for the upcoming season.

•Notre Dame will be looking to make another appearance in the IHSA state football playoffs this year.

However, to do so, it will need to navigate a tricky schedule in one of the toughest conferences in the state.

The Dons (7-4 last year) open play in Crystal Lake against Prairie Ridge (7-5). They then come home for a second nonconference game against Bartlett (3-6). East Suburban Catholic Conference play opens with a home game against Benet (6-4) before a trip to Chicago to face Marist (9-4).

Notre Dame returns home to face St. Viator (5-4), then travels to Woodstock to take on Marian (8-3). Back to back home games against St. Patrick (7-4) and Chicago Heights Marian (2-7).

The Dons finish play with a trip to Carmel (2-7). They do avoid both Joliet Catholic (10-2) and Nazareth (8-3) on their schedule from the ESCC. •Maine South is coming off another impressive season where it went 9-3. It will open the season for the second straight year against four-time Class 5A state champ Montini (13-1), this time at home. A trip to perennial nonconference foe Wheaton Warrenville South (8-3) ensues. Central Suburban League crossover games against Glenbrook North (6-4) at home and at Maine East (2-7) follow.

The Wolves remain away as they travel to Evanston (5-5) to open the CSL South season.

New girls soccer coach takes over reins at Maine East By mike sandrolini For the bugle

Guy Anderson may have the easiest commute of any girls soccer coach—or boys coach, for that matter—in the Central Suburban League.

Named the new Maine East coach in late July, Anderson happens to live across the street from the high school.

What awaits Anderson next spring, though, is likely the toughest job in CSL soccer circles: Trying to turn around a team that won only one varsity contest in 2014.

However, getting the varsity club—and the entire girls soccer program—to reach the levels of the Maine East boys team, which hasn’t experienced a losing season since 2005, is a challenge that Anderson relishes. He says he enjoys rebuilding soccer programs.

“I want to bring them up to the potential that they should

be (at),” said Anderson, the girls varsity coach at Resurrection in Chicago for two seasons who takes over for 10-year coach Julie Dickinson. “Maine East has a huge upside of potential that hasn’t been tapped into,” Anderson said.

Anderson believes the additional talent needed to help lift the program out of its doldrums already is on campus.

He said he’s confident he can reach out to girls who currently aren’t playing for Maine East for whatever reason, but have grown up in families with soccer-rich cultures.

“It’s (soccer) part of their heritage and upbringing,” he said. “I know the kids are there; they’re just not playing for the school team.”

Anderson will already have some key varsity players returning for his first season next spring. They include two 2014 all-CSL North picks— sweeper Jackie Contreras and midfielder Esther Okedina,

Guy Anderson both seniors—as well as senior forwards Arianna Cruz and Aornina Abram. Furthermore, several Maine East players are playing club soccer— specifically for Olympiacos Soccer Club, based in Chicago.

The club is affiliated with Olympiacos FC, a professional Greek soccer team.

Maine East Athletic Director Steve Schanz credited Dickinson with building up the number of participants at all levels and for getting girls already in the program to play club soccer.

“We had great numbers this year. He (Anderson) saw that and he’s excited to take it to the next level,” Schanz said.“It’s a tribute to Julie Dickinson how she recruited to get that number of girls out.”

Although it will take some time to build up the program, Anderson said it’s realistic to think the varsity team can reach the .500 mark in 2015.

“It’s going to start basically with the freshmen and sophomore programs, getting them to learn the game,” he said. “Then we’ll have that underneath our belt (by the time they’re on varsity).

“I am looking for immediate results (at the varsity level),” he continued.“We’re looking to go 7-7 or 8-8 and they have to buy into that concept. It’s possible; it can be done. It’s going to take hard work, but the reward will be worth it.”

Schanz said he and a team that interviewed Anderson “saw that Guy had a plan for really

taking the entire program to the next level.”

“He knew that we had good numbers,” Schanz said. “He knew more and more girls (at Maine East) are doing club. The writing is all on the wall for this to flow in a good way, and he’s really looking forward to the opportunity.”

Anderson said another goal he has for the program is to establish pride when the girls wear the Maine East uniform.

“I’m confident that Maine East has a student body that can put a good product on that field they’ll be proud of,” said Anderson, a Maine South graduate who once was an assistant girls freshman coach at his alma mater and also coached girls soccer at the underclass level for four years at Loyola Academy. “I want them to be proud to be on the team. When they slap on that Blue Demon uniform, I want them to be proud and (that) it really means something.”

WrestleFest brings the punch

As 6 p.m. approached Saturday, August 9, all you could see around Joliet’s Inwood Recreation Center were lines of people for WrestleFest 5.

There were lines to buy tickets; lines to enter and lines for autographs.

The difference in these lines and what you would expect to see when people are asked to wait in line was there was no disgust to be waiting, just a buzz of excitement to watch or meet some of their favorite pro wrestling stars from days gone by.

When the night was over and the sold out crowd of 1,800 people poured out the exits, there were more lines of people – all leaving with smiles.

The three-plus hour show included matches by the legends people came to see, plus surprise guests such as a reunion of the WWE tag team Too Cool when Grand Master Sexay Brian Christopher joined Scotty 2 Hotty for a tag team match. The fans also got to see two-time WWE Women’s Champion Victoria as a special guest referee that added a few moves to the match.

The biggest surprise of the night was the appearance of Diamond Dallas Page, as he came to the aid of Blitz star Ryan Slade in a match against Matty Star.

“It is great to have all these guys come out here like this is great,” said Plainfield resident Brandon Andreason. “To have the surprise guests that we weren’t expecting to be here was great. It really makes you feel young again seeing guys that I haven’t seen in 20 years come out. It’s a lot of fun.”

While some of the big draws like Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner didn’t enter the ring, fans had an opportunity to meet these icons in a meet and greet before the event as well as at intermission.

Former Olympic gold medalist and WWE superstar Kurt Angle could not wrestle because of an injury, but was part of the meet and greet and did take to the ring to address fans.

“I am big fans of all the wrestlers and I just wanted to see them live for the first time. I am following Kurt Angle and he is one of my favorites,” he said.

“Everyone can come out here and enjoy the event and the best part is, you don’t have to spend a lot of money.”

Angle himself was impressed at the Joliet crowd.

“I was really impressed with the show and how many fans were here and the talent that came here,” he said. “At least seven of them I worked with in WWE and that is unbelievable.

They are doing something right here and I am really impressed.”

Probably the biggest name to get into the ring was WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. While serving as ringside assistance for Pauly Thomaselli, Booker T gave the fans what they wanted, dropping a Book End on “The Shogun” Chris Logan.

“It has always been about the fans for me and making

the fans happy. Through all my success in wrestling, it all came from making the fans happy and I don’t think that should ever stop. Just because I am not in the ring on a weekly basis anymore, I still have fans that have wanted to see me for many years,” Booker T said. “To touch these pockets like this is really cool. You get the hear the stories from fans you met 20 years ago or 10 years ago and now we are building stories with new fans. It is all about the feel good moments more than anything.”

If he has his way, this will not be the last time Booker T is in a ring.

Harborside - Starboard

The windy city Starboard course near the lake Mark Gregory and I have played a lot of courses the past few years and Harborside I n t e r n a t i o n a l - taylor’s take Starboard Course by scott taylor ranks right up there with the best of them.

It was a windy day as is and playing in Chicago, just minutes from Lake Michigan, made it even windier.

We opened on the first hole, which is a 470-yard par 5 from the regular (white) tees (523 from championship or blue tees). It was playing with a 30mile per hour wind directly in our face. A one-putt gave me a bogey.

The second hole was also into the wind with a good view of the Chicago skyline. The dogleg left is only 333 from the white tees, but is 380 from the blue.

Hole No. 3 played 283 from the white and was downwind.

However, it was tight with a bunker all the way down the left side of the fairway and green. I took a chance and went for the green and was able to carry the bunkers and finish just in front of the green.

A unique fourth hole was an island green par-3 – surrounded

by sand instead of water. It played just 93 holes from the white. A couple of straight holes followed, a short par-5 and a regular length par-4. Then came the 320-yard seventh hole that was a straight shot to the hole, but had a fairway that had a dogleg to the right.

The front nine finished with a 146-yard par-3 and a 395-yard par-4.

The back nine opens with a 347-yard par-4 and it is followed by a 345-yard par-4 that again has sand all the way down the left side. It also jets out into the fairway about 100 yards from the green. The 12th is a long, winding par-5 and the 13th is a difficult par-3 along Lake Calumet. You have to play your shot slightly over the water that is to the right.

The 14th hole plays 411 yards and again has sand off the fairway. There are also three bunkers around the green. The 15th hole plays at just 308 yards, but has a tight fairway near the green, with more sand down the right side. A layup is probably the play here, although I managed to find the narrow fairway in front of the green.

Going left gives you more room, but a long drive can go through the fairway. Playing to the right can land you in a bunker off the fairway or worse, in the water.

Although just 114 yards, the 17th hole is a tough par-3 over the lake. It is a large green from left to right, but there isn’t much room over the water.

There are bunkers behind the green, so even if you clear the water off the tee, you could go into the water if you over-hit your sand shot.

The 18th hole is a 502-yard par-5 that plays with the lake

down the right and bunkers all over the place, including a beach on the right side of the green. This hole was also playing straight into the wind, making it even more difficult.

You have to lay back on your second shot as the fairway gets tighter inside 100 yards.

For a course that costs $7585 typically during the week with a cart and around $100 on the weekend, there were a few more ball marks than expected and more than what we have seen on some of the previous courses. But besides that, the course was in great shape, with

good fairways and thick rough.

The views on some of the holes will be the best you can find in the Chicagoland area, from the skyline to Lake Calumet. With the wind the course can be quite difficult as well.

We enjoyed the Starboard Course so much that we hope to play the Portside Course at Harborside International next year. Chicago-area golf fans should be sure to play the Starboard Course at some point and those visiting out of town should make the course a top priority to play.

‘Jimmy Buckets’ visits with Bulls-Sox campers By mike sandrolini For the bugle

Youngsters who hope to become basketball stars at the elementary, junior high and high school level—and maybe beyond—sat in front of the east basket at the Bulls-Sox Training Academy in Lisle, waiting patiently for a certain Bulls guard who’s endeared himself to fans with his hard-nosed play at both ends of the floor to walk through the doors.

Once they caught a glimpse of him, they erupted in applause.

Jimmy Butler was in the house, and he savored the opportunity to meet with the dozens of boys and girls, ages 6-17, who signed up for Week 1 of the two-week Adidas Bulls Players Camp.

A few weeks ago, it appeared doubtful that Butler, who averaged 13.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and was named to the all-NBA Defensive Second Team during his second NBA season in 2013-14, would even be making such an appearance.

Butler’s name seemed to pop up in just about every trade scenario imaginable involving the Bulls, who were in pursuit of New York Knicks superstar Carmello Anthony and Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

However, after Anthony agreed to a contract extension with the Knicks, and Love was dealt to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Butler appears less likely to be going anywhere except back to the United Center.

After talking to, and taking questions from, campers, Butler moved over to a table where he posed for pics with each participant and signed everything they put in front of him—jerseys, basketballs, photos and even bobblehead dolls of himself.

Butler, who’s scheduled to make a return visit to the Academy on Friday to conclude the final week of camp, is one of several current or former Bulls

that met with campers over the two-week period. Former Bulls Stacy King and BillWennington— now color commentators for the club’s television and radio broadcasts, respectively—as well as Toni Kukoc and Randy Brown, each paid a visit, as did 2014 first-round draft choice Doug McDermott.

“The kids absolutely eat it up,” said former Indiana University and Westchester St. Joseph standout Daryl Thomas, who captained the 1987 Hoosiers’ NCAA national championship squad and serves as the Academy’s lead instructor and head of player development.

“Think about it: You go through a basketball camp and you get to actually meet an NBA player, you get things signed, you get a photo (taken) with them. You can’t beat that.”

Nate, an 11-year-old from Palatine who plays for two teams—the St. Thomas of Villanova sixth-grade team and the St. Viator High School sixth-grade feeder team—has been attending the camp each summer for the past five years.

He’s met not only each of the previously mentioned players, but also Scottie Pippen, Taj Gibson and Joakim Noah.

“It’s fun,” Nate said of taking part in the camp. “All of the coaches are really nice.The work you have to put in, it’s made me a better player.”

Larry Stewart, general manager of basketball at the Academy, explains that campers work on shooting, passing and foot work, and also “listening, believe it or not.” He mentioned how each boy and girl partakes in specific drills that the Bulls themselves do, such as ball-handling and dribbling around cones set up on the court; making as many shots as you can within a minute from five different spots on the court; and laying the ball in with either hand while driving to the basket.

“Our goal is to make sure by Friday that they leave here with different skill sets,” Stewart said.

When asked what it was like to meet Jimmy Butler, Arturo replied, “He’s nice. It’s the first time I’ve ever met a current Bulls player. It feels good.”

“It’s really been great because we’ve been able to have guys come out, and the Chicago Bulls have been very cooperative to

be able to come out and spend time with the kids,” Stewart added.“I like some of the former guys, obviously, because I’m an older guy, but the kids enjoy a lot of the current players coming out, getting personal, signing autographs and really being able to have some one-on-one time with them.”

“We’re going to get his ass and get all his money,” she said, quoting Miner.And she explained why they concocted the plan.

“It was because we really needed cigarettes,” Bethany McKee told the officers. But they did not plan to kill the two men.

“I really did not think that is how it would turn out,” she told the police.

When Rankins and Glover were lying on the floor, Bethany McKee worried that they merely were unconscious and would get up and attack her. So they tied up the two victims, stacking one body on top of the other, she said. The group also riffled through their pockets twice, stealing $120 and the keys to a car. Later on, the group went through the vehicle and took some compact discs and some small toys. They left a child’s car seat behind because they didn’t need it, Bethany McKee said.

Later on, they took turns kicking and hitting the bodies, sometimes with liquor bottles, other times with their fists, she said, although she claimed only to have kicked one body a single time. The mission of The Center of Concern is to provide housing assistance, support services, and counseling for seniors, the disabled, and others in need, enabling them to live with dignity and independence.

This 35 year old social service agency helps maintain senior citizens in their homes and provides housing assistance enabling them to live with dignity and independence. Call Jim at 847-823-0453. Residents are matched with screened applicants who possess a temperament suitable to shared accommodations.

The Center of Concern also offers friendly visitors for the homebound, programs designed to prevent homelessness, and

volunteer opportunities in the office and in the field.

Morton Grove North Shore Senior Center North Shore Senior Center’s Morton Grove Social Services Office has space in the American Legion Memorial Civic Center at 6140 Dempster Street.

Information and assistance is provided to individuals of all ages including access to public benefits, referrals for a variety of community programs, on-site and offsite support groups, and applications for the Village financial assistance program.
